new headlight group buy

Park behind a car your light cutoff should be below the cars wing mirrors
 
They are maybe just really bright, so other drivers think they must be pointing up. There's been a lot of need articles about mega bright headlights and led lights causing issues with other road users. LED lights cause "trailers" across my eyes.

Make sure the adjuster motors are connected in they're designated slot. If they are then adjusting them shouldn't be a problem. I took mine to a garage so they could use they're mot light machine to set them up right. Only 30 mins labour and I know mine are correct now.
 
Cheers lads, both lamps are adjusting vertically and horizontally however the passenger side one tops out at about 1m whereas the other one will travel nearly another 30cm. Anyone else experience this?

I haven't adjusted mine. I connected mine to the white clips at the bottom which I thought where for the self levelers. I haven't been doing any nite driving yet but reading these last posts it looks like I'll have to have a look at the beam.
I thought they where just plug in and that was it.
 
Managed to fit mine over the weekend although my passenger side one needs adjusting for sure.

The light output is immense and the new headlights give the front end a new lease of life and well worth the upgrade!

Agreed. I've had a bit of bother with mine however the difference between the two is unreal.

Worth the money for sure and the work I had to do to set them up just gave me more knowledge on the car anyway :)

It's the same on the other side but all lights work and I don't seem to be able to find anywhere for it to go.

Scrub that, this is what the only lead apart from the 2 coming from the bulb looks like

I think it must be the leveling motor, only other connector is the indicator but that’s only 2 prong.
 
I’d was going to say it looked like the lead for the auto adjuster

Def not the ballast as lights work. So.it must be for the auto adjust. Where is that supposed to clip in to cause I can't find any thing for it to plug in to. Where should I be looking?
 
Have you fitted the auto adjuster or did it come with it already? Should look like this

My S3 didn't have any auto adjusters, they were removed, when the headlights were replaced probably after a front end, as the aliens were disconnected and the headlights only had normal bulbs in.

Aliens disconnected? I think all the hair spray fumes are getting to you ha
 
Did you order new adjusters from trups? If not you need to swap over yours from the old lights, then they should plug in. Hope this helps mate.
 
Went out and checked mine and it seems they have not came with the new headlight motors that where payed for.
My old ones are sold so can not take them out of them. Also not sure how to put them in even if t8ups sent them out to me now. I think my only option is looking like I might need to send them back so that there installed right.
I have sent him a email to see where to go from here.
I will update when I know more.

Don’t need to send them back at all, that tab (circle with 3 flat bits) screws out and you just push you level motor in with a bit of force and plug in the cable 2 minute job

Hard parts is pulling out the old ones I just ordered new ones (about £25) and sold my old lights as complete units
 
I'm hoping that when t8ups reads the email and see the picture I sent that he will send me the new ones out cause I have my old one sold. Can these be done with the lights in the car or do they have to come of? Thanks for helping Tj0785 much appreciated. I thought i was going mad not being able to find out where that wire went.

No don’t need to take the lights out to do it did, I’m sure they were an extra if you wanted trups to supply them I got mine from carpartsforless
 
New headlight motors where ordered and payed for when I picked bulb choice and paint options. Just waiting on trumps to reply to my email I sent him with the picture of no motors in my new ones.
 
My headlights have been delivered. Shame im working away again, hopefully everything is in order and present.

Has everyone one here received everything they paid for?
I’m still waiting for my interior kit, plate and puddle light bulbs to arrive. Messaged trups privately and still no response.

Just thought I would check with you lot and see if anyone if still waiting.
 
I'm still waiting on headlight motors to arrive that I had paid for at the time when we all payed for are lights. I emailed him and he said they would be with me in a couple of days but that was on the 12th April. I also have had no other commuication with him even though I've sent more emails. Hopefully soon we will all get sorted.

Ah really. Will contact EM tuning tomorrow, wasn’t expecting this much of a delay and some form of contact would of been reassuring.
 
Hi George,
What's really unfortunate is the only thing you have wanted the whole time on this forum was decent headlights, and then reluctantly waited for the "group by" to complete when willing to pay full price to get them and you appear to be the last one to even receive them. :(
