SOLVED, Flashing glow plug light, eml on and limp mode

It started as an intermittent event, then got more frequent and really annoying, if I restart it clears then comes back , eventually it was almost continuous, got a code read done and all it came back with was air leak so we smoke tested it, fault turned out to be a tiny split in the turbo boost hose, short 90 degree hose about 4 inches in diameter at the rear of the engine, the hole was almost invisible and on the inside of the bend, this little hose is £80 plus vat but since it was replaced there's been no recurrence no matter how hard I drive it. as well as the split there was some wear on the other side of the hose, not leaking but I'm pretty sure that was caused by the rocker cover chafing it because I'd had a bad motor mount for a while.

The error code says P0299 - turbo underboost?
