Hi all,

With the recent weather I just wanted to ask if anyone knew if the B9 avants came with either heated washer piper and / or nozzles?

Couldn’t see anything in the spec and couldn’t see to add it as an option when building the car?

Thanks!

The nozzles are probably heated but the piping will not be, or the reservoir. It is exceptionally cold for the uk.
The manual states:
"The anti-freeze concentration must be matched to the climate of the country in which you are driving. If the concentration is too high, damage to the car may result. - Never put in radiator anti-freeze or other additives. - Never use washer fluid which contains paint thinners or solvents as it can damage the paintwork."

Maybe your concentration isn't matched to the conditions?

Maybe need to rev that v6 more get the temp up lol

Yeah,

Im in a hire car currently and topped up last night with -10 concentrate but it clearly wasn't sufficient given that there was probably just water in there until that point.

New B9 on order and just wondered prior to it arriving!

Seems strange you can't even optionally add it - I appreciate from stock it may not be specced but seems odd to leave out a way for Audi to grab some more of our hard earning cash!

From page 57 of the handbook...

"The washer fluid nozzles for the windshield washer system are heated at low temperatures when the ignition is on."

I did look at the heatshot wash heater system as missed by heated windscreen from my previous 2 cars.
Looks very good but a chunky modification.

Guessing it's cold enough to freeze in the pipes at the moment?

Quite, I expect other motorists are in a similar situation and it's called having a proper winter. My partner's car has icicles hanging off it, I guess that's a sign its cold. Still been out there in shorts, briefly though...

Glass hammer, waterproof teabag, newspaper raincoat/hammer etc etc...
Probably started something now.

Haven't used my car for a few days due to snowy conditions, however I happened to noticed this morning that one of the covers for the headlamp washers is stuck out. I guess once conditions have got above freezing it will go back in?
