B9 RS4 vs The Rest...and the S

I like it more bottom end and a bit warbley than mine with the valve unplug.

That’s exactly how I’d describe it. Much deeper tone with the warbles at idle. Let’s out more pops and bangs as well.

I’d love to hear it with a sports cat downpipe...

Is that a part you can fit from them?

Yes, but it’s £1,400 RRP! So would basically be £4k for a turbo back with a sports cat. De-cat is £900 cheaper but you’ll have the CEL until remaps are available...

Ok AWE Tuning, you've got my attention.

Good 'in-cabin' sound half way through. There's rumours the States are actually getting the RS4 this time round. I think these guys have a nice exhaust for the S4 here. So could be good news for RS4 owners wanting something louder.

Track Edition exhaust:

They do sound good. I’ve heard that they can drone a bit is my only worry...

If you’re after more volume, I don’t think that you can get much louder than the AWE or Milltek without serious drone to be honest. The Milltek for example is essentially a straight through with the valves open.

Maybe, I haven’t heard it in person to be honest. I just don’t know how it could be much louder than essentially a straight through system. Haha.

I’d love to hear a few systems side by side so I could comment a bit better...

Yeah. Having 3-5 demo cars all fitted out right in front of you would be mega

What's that then?

The alcantara I believe. It'd be a must for me really like how it felt in Geneva on the 5. Just added something sportier to it.

Not heard anything about that. I guess it will depend on sales and complexity on the line

RS Styling Package, it appears to be called. According to Glasgow Audi on Autotrader.

Presumably as Sports Diff is standard the £2250 price takes that into account.

As for €1500 for Styling pack... more money than sense springs to mind!

You've got lights on top! Blue ones? Seriously, had Matrix lights on 66 A4. Very good but the price of some of these 'extras' is ridiculous.

There was a Rs4 with blue lights on top sure it got stolen while attending a rtc

How much are general lease deals on well specced RS4's these days?

BCS will probably do a valve exhaust for it I imagine.

A guy who worked for my old Dad in Devon had Blue lights he could stick on the roof of his Black Capri GT but that was in 1974!!
This was a doctor am sure, can’t remeber if it was a b7 or b8

Nope it was 1974, Capri Special 2000GT, he was the Devon Area Chief Ambulance Officer. Laurie C by name..
A meant the rs4 I was talking about not the Capri but interesting all the same

It's not that it's just an extra. It's the point that they're sometimes double the price of an A4/S4. For the exact same parts in some instances. Btw, if I had more money than sense I'd be buying an RS4 I'm just along for everyone else's ride at the moment until they offer better deals.

Exactly that. I don't know how it is that they charge £425 for carbon atlas inlays in the S4 but in the RS4 they're £900! It's the exact same part... Red brake calipers - £300 versus £400. Why? They're the same calipers as far as I'm aware? Just ridiculous.

If anyone is on Twitter it'd be good if they messaged AudiUK and asked that haha.
