In need of a new brake caliper for the front left hand side of a 2010 sline 170 bhp model. Just landed into work and heard all this squealing coming from the front and went out and checked only to find a nice ball of heat coming from the disc.

My front right has just done the same! 59 plate. But not fully stuck on so been driving with it for months! And of course the wear sensor is passenger side

What replacements have you looked at. Not going main dealer on this one so looking a decent quality replacement

Borg and Beck discs and pads, been told they are ok, and I think it’s TRW calliper. £216, expected a lot more!

If you're handy with spanners a brake piston rebuild could be the way to go using parts from BiggRed. Probably siezed slider pins anyway.

Ordered up a TRW caliper and pads today. The mate will skim the disc if needed but hopefully it won’t need to be done. Worst comes to the worst I’ll just buy a new one. €180 all in so was too bad.
