Finalised all the paperwork today, and have seen my car first hand. Picking up tomorrow evening, just a shame it will be dark when I do!

Grats guys on the pick ups! I got informed today that I’m in build week 7, should be here just after 5th March for the new 18 plates, good timing

Hi, my car is at a preparation centre don’t have a clue were. What do they do over there, and how long would it take before going to the main dealership as my car was ordered at Hatfield Audi were paperwork etc will be carried out before I can collect!!

Here they add all the fluids that the car wouldn’t otherwise ship with due to safety reasons. Eg motor oil

So, finally at status 40, and dealer has put my car on a priority from Grimsby!
Provisionally booked to picked it up on Saturday.... Can I contain my excitement, that is the question!!

Cars are full of oil and all other required fluids at production line stage, as they are driven off the production line and onto the train and then at the port (on and off ship) Without oil the top-end and turbo would soon go pop.
PDI, is removal of the protective covers, remove the transport blocks from the suspension, take the car out of electronic Transport mode, clear fault codes then clean the car adding lots of swill marks.... They also a bit of extra fuel.

My car turned over to status 40 last night which was good to see, so I contacted the dealer today for an expected delivery date and he said it's still 2 weeks away . The wait is killing me when will it end
My bad! Silly me.
Also, i am still on status 40. Should this change if its on a trailer? Or is this the final status.
We have booked a pick up appointment for next tuesday so just curious.
I'm on status 40 aswell. I believe when they have left the port the next status number is 60.

I'm still showing status 40, but had an email from my dealer saying it is in transit today to them!
Tracker is 24 hours behind I reckon, so I think I'll get a status 60 tomorrow and 70 on Friday, even though the dealer will probably have had the car since this afternoon....
Either way, I'm collecting Saturday morning so a super happy chap!!! Been a long 4 month wait....

Excellent news! Can't wait to see some pictures. Wish my dealer would contact me with some form of update in regards to a collection date.
I chased mine as I had road tax due on the old car at the end of the month and didn't want to pay it if I could help it... Maybe give your dealer a nudge to get them thinking about, get the impression they don't all chase getting the car from the dock..
Will get on the phone and see what the situation is now. Am hoping to get the car within the next couple of weeks, can't be dealing with driving round in that A1 any longer!!!
I had an email yesterday afternoon from ‘my audi’ saying my car has gone into production (build week 5) but the tracker hasn’t updated. Looks like it’s on track for a 1st March collection
Guys/Girls how long should I expect to wait for the order tracker to work ?
I placed my order through Stoke Audi on 22/01/18 just at the beginning of the week. The dealer said I should expect the car around June, and that I will be on a "waitlist" (they specifically wrote a 'waitlist' note on the paperwork they scanned over to me, not sure if this is different to the standard car order/build queue?).
I would like the car sooner, but I can wait. In a way it saves me money as I am paying to return my current lease car early, so the longer I wait to return it the less i'll pay. Also up til now i've always had my new cars delivered in Jan/Dec, when it's cold, wet and dark. Will be nice to get a car in summer for once...

Okay thanks. Yeah wait will be killer! I went for the A4 1.4TFSI S-Tronic, S-Line, Tech and Sound+Comfort packs. Ibis White color. The 3 month wait for my previous car felt long enough, not sure how I will deal with atleast 5 !
If you guys are interested, I do web development and own a domain, so I can make and host a page where you put your order number in and it returns the parsed JSON. Stops you having to parse it manually through JSONLint everytime. A little time saver I guess.
It's public API so hopefully Audi are okay with it. If not i'm sure they will send me a cease and desist soon enough
Just pulled my json data, its for an Audi S4 estate through a lease company, I don't suppose anyone has clue how long current build times are ? or when I might expect some movement into 'build'. We were told March 1st, but I'm not holding out much hope ...

Sounds like your in the exact same position as me, I’ve just ordered an a4 though but I assume they come from the same factory?
I assume so, however I know with BMW the M3 was built on a different line than the 3 series, I don't really care too much when I get my car, I'd just like a rough estimate from Audi or my lease company when I might get the build started/finished ...

I'm told that current lead times are up to 5 months so probably a build date in April/May time
I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and my estimated delivery date on the lease company portal is week commencing 30th April... which is fine for me as current lease runs till mid May.

Status 39 today, he's on the ship! Tried to track the ship down and there are two possible ships that it could be on, one going to Grimsby, the other to Sheerness, the latter expected to arrive at 17:30 today! Not long now.
got an email from our friends at Audi today saying the factory has now received my order which was placed in october, according to the tracker and Json my car is already build and in the UK somewhere, good to see they are on the ball

It seems to take ages to move from "00". I ordered 0n 31/07 and didn't get a build week (06/11) until 13/10, and that's a lot of logging in every day to see no progress at all. So no movement at all on the tracker for 10 or so weeks, then it's built in a week, shipped and arrived at the dealer 24/11!
