Having an issue with the door, short version first.

Open the door with key fob and handle wont open door. Only way in is via internal handle.
Any ideas?

I had mine in to sort out window regulator problem. Obviously the door was apart and put back together. The next day the problem started, end of December. Wife took it back to Audi and they said its a common problem on 3 door cars with high mileage. My wife pointed out that it never happened at any point with our S3 with 80k and the car they were working on only had 33k on it. So they did something and got it working mentioning that the door latch probably needs changes as its an old car. Yet again my wife pointed out its only got 33k miles on it. Ive sourced a door latch for 120 quid new. Need to look into how to change it out, as l wont be taking it back to Dundee Audi for a few reasons. The window regulator cost £170 plus £200 to fit, 2 new tyres needed at £170 each and wheel alignment at £150, plus new tyre repair kit at £80, near a grand in total, got ripped of there but wasnt home and couldnt expect the wife to go find cheaper. I then asked them for a quote to repair a scratch on the passenger rear quarter, £750. I had it in to the local repair shop that all the local dealers use, £350. I will be calling Dundee Audi to see what they intend to do as the door latch issue only appeared since the door was apart. probably feck all.

Seems it may be the cable from handle to lock mechanism that has play in it, just replaced the door latch and still the same.
