I am curious about the reasons people did not choose the front CCB option? I am on the fence about the brakes, as background my car will see several tracking days a year, which is the reason I am considering this option. please let me know why you did not go this way?

The small matter of £5000!

I find it weird the difference in pricing, not that it makes it cheap but the pricing on this side of the pond is only equivalent to 3400 GBP

Get standard brakes and retrofit from America or Germany for cheaper

+1

£2,500 a corner for the upgrade (ie cost above the standard setup) is just taking the p1ss.

The price and the fact that there is still front, rear mismatch. I would prefer to spend a similar amount on a front & rear AP kit with bigger rear discs.

Steel brakes are better for the track when you start to get into the consumables. Would rather spend the incremental money on a BBK than buy the CCBs.

Yes - you are in the market that matters - the same way you have inexpensive fuel (yes, take it from me, inexpensive!)

- a lot! £5k plus!
I am pretty sure you will have to get them from Audi at spare part prices as I have not heard of anyone making them as an 'aftermarket add-on'

Tried to add but was told not possible as they could not guarantee they would code correctly to the car and because they could not guarantee the abs would work properly so Audi said they would not fit.

Just telling you what I was told - did make me wonder if someone wanted to go ccb to steel would they but told NO as well?

Wasn't really that bothered in the end and think the big break kit would be a better option for me.

I haven't got mine yet but I wouldn't be taking it on a track anyway so don't need ceramics.

Yes, for £5k, I'd want CCB all round. And to be done with brake dust, which is pretty savage on the RS3.

I looked at the CCB upgrade for my other car and that package came with surprising bits like hub and new wheel sensors as well as a flash for the abs controller. I suspect it could be done but Audi may not have package built yet,

Surely this will not work? as rear loading is much lighter and the discs wont get hot enough for any benefit? Just my thoughts, I'm often wrong, so my wife tells me.
