Right guys I need all the knowledge you have.

So for my b7 2.0tfsi s-like Quattro

Basically I have been reading through threads and felt like I was sure enough that I would be able to buy everything and not worry about anything missing when it comes to me fitting it but I need to confirm this. As it is going to be a fair amount of money and i don’t want to waste time or money,

So from what I understand here is all that I will need

S3 Bosch injectors
Ko4 turbo (would prefer hybrid)
A diverter flange

I have a intercooler in the fabrication process
I also have a induction kit nearly finished just needs a heat shield

(does the ko4 require a different intake hose or is standard useable?)

I know that mapping will be needed I’m also sure that fuel pump won’t be far off either ?

Better option is a K03 hybrid as it’s bolt on and requires no modding. It’s basically a K04 inside a machined K03 housing. I’m selling a brand new bbt k3.20 good for 360+bhp if you’re interested, was meant for my B7 but I’m parting out

I appreciate this but the ko3 hybrid will fall off of power before the ko4 which I want to get hybrided.

I do have the question for you though, where did you get your plastics painted

How much power do you need chap, 360+ bhp is by no means a small amount , if your looking for more than that then maybe you'd be wiser to look at S4 or Rs4 varaints, just a thought.

So basically I want to match the power of the big turbo Ford Focus ST when they are running stage 5 revo so about 500 is the main goal in long term.

However I am new to the Audi scene and don’t have much knowledge and can’t seem so find much information,
I’m interested what exactly can the ko3 hybrid make and what is the requirements ?

I am expecting the normal being induction, intercooler and turbo back exhaust.

Ok the big question is are you planning on forging the engine? If not you can’t safely run more than 360lbft on an A4 motor which is capping a K04. A K04 is also only good for around 370bhp max on a stock A4 motor, and that is pushing it because they are still known to bend rods, so you would need to go BT for any more. Don’t take this as a sales pitch but the K03 hybrid is a much better option in terms of useable power, it is well known they genuinely feel quicker than K04’s on the road due to the torque curve. If you want more info let me know as I’ve had a Stage 2+ B7 for 4 years with all the gear ready to go for Stage 3, only reason I’m not now is I’m trading the car in

Right okay I am enjoying this information because all that I have been able to find is power figures where as I need the driver opinions to be honest.

Could you tell me what you are / was running ? Like map, cat, exhaust, intake, intercooler, fuel pump ? Injectors ?

What would the stage 3 make power and torque ?

So at Stage 2+ I had the usual stuff like intake, full custom exhaust, hfc & 3.5” dp, uprated hpfp, RS4 fprv, fmic, plus loads of other bit like pulley upgrades, balance shaft delete, custom dual catch can set-up etc. At that point the car was running around 300bhp & 350lbft on Stage 2+ software which is stock K03 maxed out

I looked into all the Stage 3 options but my prerequisites were useable power and not going down the forging route. This narrowed it down to K04 or K03 hybrid, I even had a K04 which I rebuilt but later sold in favour of the K03 for the reasons I stated in the last post. With the correct fuelling (hpfp upgrade and S3 injectors) the hybrid will deliver 360bhp/360lbft safely on stock rods and the power will come in earlier than with a K04 making the car feel quicker on the road. If you want to go beyond those figures, you need s built engine and big turbo setup. Hope this helps a little.

If you’re looking to get anywhere near 500 you’ll need to build the motor as stated and you’ll need a bigger turbo than a K-03 or K-04. I run a Borg Warner EFR 7163 and am at 386 WHP on stock internals with room left for more boost and power. Just a thought if you’re gonna throw the money at it now and want big power down the road.
