That’s not a bad turn around! I had a voicemail from Audi CS this morning saying the ship will dock into Grimsby tomorrow morning so will take up to 10 days to get unloaded, transport order done and make its way to dealer. I’m hoping I’ll get lucky and get a transporter quicker. It’s been fairly quick up to now!
Wow that's great progress! I too had a build date of 4th Dec but I seem to be stuck at Emden since the 8th Dec at status 38 (confirmed by dealer and Audi Live Chat).
After nearly daily updates through the factory build, this bit feels like it is dragging like mad!
I cannot thank everyone on this forum enough for the info on here, thank you! But the Mrs would like it shutdown after I went from being sensible and ordering a 1.4 to an S4. Here's my progress to date for anyone tracking:
20.10.17 - Placed order
26.10.17 - Order ref confirmed
27.10.17 - Order appeared on MyAudi
Went to status 38 on 08.12.17

I think it should be a couple of days more before you get the call from the dealer. My car was ordered around 8 days before yours, and is due for registration tomorrow and collection next week (though i could have collected it before). So i would give it a few days mate

Haha yeah I know how that feels. My original delivery estimation was 23rd March, then 28th January and now obviously its earlier so I am even more impatient!!
That is a lot of jumps on the build date blimey.
Mine started with a build date of 8th of Jan but then settled on 4th Dec. As with everyone else, prep stage etc appeared to start the week before so it felt awesome. I think I'm being far too impatient but I want it now!
And is it me or are there just not enough B9 S4 videos on YouTube. I think I've watched them all at least 5 times but now the wife and kids won't let me have the TV remote

Haha yeah I was thinking that too actually. I do like a good car review video. I watched thousands of them when narrowing down 15 cars to this B9 S4. Blimey. Hearing all these stories is scaring me a little. I've been sent a build date of 12th Feb. Realistically how long from that date to collection from dealer?
I was told mid febraury... So i didnt bother with it and then randomly asked mid november and she said its already being built and delivery mid december.. i was like eh??
It should only be a couple days more mate. Was the same in my case

Do you know if the delay with the 19" Rotors is still an issue. Been reading in other threads.
Ive also been reading the same thing... im guessing the rotors are very popular for them to be causing issues with delayed deliveries..
when i pop in for collection next week, Ill ask about rotors causing delays for you mate

& i know right! Im most excited about the virtual cockpit! Can’t wait to use it! Really did my best to try get a viewing at my local audi for an a4 with VC but it was almost impossible for them to source one!

Guy drove through the night to deliver from the Surrey dealer so it was manky and had 420 miles on the clock, but hey that's it run in and I couldn't wait to give it it's first wash haha!
First drive to Glasgow Airport and back with the delivery guy, about 40 miles on mixed roads. This car is a huge step up from my previous A3, the interior is just amazing with the tech pack goodies and the 1.4 engine is nippy and cruises well. I have to drop to 2nd gear for corners I'd take in 3rd in other cars but easy to get used to. And it's quiet, very!
Dealer has fitted the black audi rings to the rear doors and I'm quite liking them. Just about to fit my LED Audi rings to the doors
Driving to Inverary via North Glasgow and Helensburgh this weekend - can't wait!
Oh and flat bottomed steering wheel with tech pack for those who are worried...and nice Conti tyres!

i saw one in black the other day and it looked awesome was thinking about changing mine from white but i have been waiting long enough i dont want any more set backs

Which A3 did you previously have if you don't mind me asking? I currently have the 8v Sportback but no VC. The comments about the B9 interior was one of the reasons I chose it over other options.

I've had a mixed day of driving in all weathers and a wee night run - really pleased and absolutely worth the wait! Cheers Cloud Guy
I had a 2014 A3 Sportback 1.6Tdi Sport - great car. Company motor so I done nearly 70k miles in the 3 years I had it. A3 is just a bit tight now for 2 kids and 2 dugs me and the Mrs so took a great deal on the A4.

Thanks AlnSaz. I would have loved to have had it this month but it's looking highly unlikely. I've been at status 38 for a week now and Audi suggest it could be anything up to 14 days to leave Emden. Taking the hols into account I should have it at the start of the new year...I hope. Not too far but feels like forever!

. I’ve also got the red calipers too! I had an update this morning, status 40! It’s all been pretty quick. I reckon it could be at the dealer in a few days perhaps even a pick up next week I hope before Christmas!
