So in the picture shows the highest MPG I have ever seen when City driving, usually I float around 24-25mpg.
What do you guys usually get?

40mpg is possible on a motorway run!

I usually get around 25mpg day to day also.

No need to be rude!

You took the time to reply, why not just answer the question?

In my 1.0tfsi my long term average mpg is 52.

I've seen over 50mpg average trundling along the motorway in my 1.8tfsi (2014) although a lot of it was a 50mph speed restriction! My long term average is 38.52 over 6869 miles. Just had it remapped and got my lowest ever figure for the first 1/8 of the tank! (49 miles, usually hit 70-90miles depending on trips) But that's likely to be a combination of the short journeys I've been doing and testing the results of the remap.

I could probably get that if I pushed my S3 for the first 25 miles lol.

Avergae of 29mpg?
You must do alot of motorway miles haha,
I think my Fuelly avg is around 24mpg but I do 85-90% City
Surprised it is that high to be fair... but yeah a few motorway miles (considering only done 2k miles anyway....). Will see how it works out over time :)

I'm sure you weren't driving at 24mph, in the dark, messing about with a camera / phone taking pictures of your dash because that would be the actions of a foolish person :)
The picture would of course have been taken by your passenger leaving you free to concentrate.
PS 190 petrol - 35mpg norm city driving, best 52mpg long gentle run

My rs3 does not sound to dissimilar to the s3 low to mid 20s around town had it upto 35mpg on a 180mile run once, happy with those figures

Only had the S3 a week so far, average is 20mpg at the moment. My daily drive to the station sees about 9-12mpg which to be honest has me a little worried! That’s driving sensibly, but admittedly it’s only a 5-6 min journey.

Thanks for explaining but my question wasn’t about the picture.

What I meant was on the dash of the vehicle there’s more than one MPG reading.. I think urban, combined and-something else.. How do I know which reading is combined and which is urban etc..

Have had just over 45mpg on the motorway out of mine but usually 30-34mpg in town.

Mine only shows the average mpg for the trip and then the mpg you’re doing at that current speed. Also one which shows long term mpg.

Nothing funny apart from your grasp of English. ALOT happens to be 2 words

I’m sitting at 21.3 average over past 5000 miles since new. Been getting some low figures of late stuck in traffic etc 13’s but that’s more to do with the cold weather up here just now.

Ouch LiamRS! So frustrating being stuck in traffic in such a fantastic car.

I only saw 50mpg trip average once on my 1.8tfsi. on a 250 mile mainly motorway run with a 20 mile 50 mph section. Long term average was 42 mpg but tank/mile calc was always 38-40 mpg.
I always thought the DIS mpg was complicated algorithm that was fooled by tuning boxes/maps into showing higher mpg due to them not recognising the increased fuel pressure/boost/modified ignition timing that was giving the extra power.

My MPG has taken I dive recently. For a few reasons I think... the weather hasn't helped, being colder etc, it takes longer to get upto temps. But I'm also driving the car harder now, this wet weather is proving to be a joy with Quattro :)

I've done 600 miles in the new car, my commute is 30 miles each way with a mix of motorway (20 miles) and A roads (10 miles) my average is around 44/45. It's a 2.0 tdi 150 S-tronic. I know it's a new engine and it's been cold but I do drive like a bit of a gran on my commute and was hoping for a bit more than this. Will it likely go up as my engine gets bedded in and as the weather warms up? I mean I love the car and I'm not that bothered really but I'd like to see at least 50 mpg.. Is this likely? thanks :)

Just did a 120mile round trip, mainly motorways, averaged 35mpg. Was getting 40, but then my foot got heavy!
