Had my rs3 for over a month now love it. Run it in now as done 1400 miles.

Have driven it pretty slow as traffic, bad weather, running in, moron drivers.

Anyway had a couple of annoying issues.

matrix led lights have condensation on the inside of the glass. Is this normal

In wet weather all windows steam up and have condensation inside that just won't clear feels like the windows have been sealed properly.

Worst issue is the wipers don't work and just judder across the screen really badly.

Suspension was a bit hard on the snow and near high Wycombe today and car was in comfort mode, some people realky are clueless and retarded when it comes to driving on ice and snow, driving normal and cut up cars etc by changing lanes last second at 70mph plus on the snow ice covered m4. I was doing 40mph lol as I refused to overtake a moron gritter truck, wtf in the middle you idiot

@T-800 has an additive for the screenwash that he recommends, really stops the juddering. I bought some and it works great.

TX.

I had condensation a couple of times in my Matrix lights the first ~1000 miles. Nothing since and now on 3500miles.

After I did a ceramic paint protection of the car, including the windscreen, my wipers started to judder. But it stopped after a couple of weeks of rain every day.

In the beginning it took forever (15 min of driving) to clear the condensation on the inside but nowadays I don't have that problem anymore. Don't know why it stopped.

About the wipers that judder, its important NOT to put anything fancy on the windscreen like protection or something like that. Especially on the A3/S3/RS3 this doesnt work. Seen it multiple times. I ask my detailer to leave the windscreen when coating my car.

How much condensation is it? Picture? Quite normal to have a little if the weather is really moist day after day..

Couple of things to try on the wipers. First try to wipe the blades with undiluted screenwash. If that doesn't work, wipe the blades and screen with IPA alcohol.

Have you had a coating on the screen?

Ermmm......?

You sure that was me TX ?
Lol maybe not then! I have some in the kitchen, will post it up in a few minutes. It's a screenwash additive.

TX.

My headlight also got condensation those first days, now it has disappeared.
More irritated problem is I got low squeal on the breaks, not all the time and it disappears when I push it little harder. not bad like the PFL but still... I think I must drive my car more often and drive longer distance. Now I just drive my car on the weekends...

Yup I had the head light issue first few days post picking up . Cleared up now . If being kept outside in this weather then I would consider normal .

So far then, the FL model seems to have inherited the PFL squealing brakes, the dodgy jerky windscreen wipers (I swapped mine out for some Bosch double bladed jobbies), rattling exhaust back boxes, and I have also seen a few owners are having issues with the dreaded fuel pressure sensors again. Knocking top suspension joints next perhaps?
Well done Audi, good to see that all that PFL warranty information from the dealers over the past couple of years has been put to good use on building an improved car! :anguished:

At least they made it sound better.

Had condensation lights but seemed to stop to.
Does feel like inside steams up a lot and takes while to clear compared to other cars. Not sure why

I Had the PFL with squealing breaks and now FL. I must say my PFL was much worse, it´s squeal all the time and more high pitch sound. My FL have just a little squeal, somethimes it comes, sometimes not. I have almost done in break in period. Then I will push it more harder on the brakes. Hopefully it´s more like a break in period on them too. But still, it´s annoying..

I also got rattle exhaust, Audi technical guys admit it doesn´t sound right. Just waiting for a TPI... have you guys heard some new info about it?

If you have Rattle at start up just pull gear lever back into ‘S’ mode.

Rattle will stop.

Maybe I've not noticed anything, and I'm a bit deaf but eyesight ok.
I've got no sqealing brakes, lights are fine, wipers are fine, exhaust sounds ok to me.
Perhaps I've got the only FL with no problems!!

Same here, minor squeal which has now gone and (touch wood) stays gone, 1650 miles now. No issues with lights, wipers were an issue until a day or so after first downpours, and the exhaust thing as discussed in another thread is just the cold start mode and isn't actually a fault...

Thanks T-800, I know if I pull gear lever to S mode it will stop rattle, but still it´s a problem I think Audi must fix.
It´s strange because I actually didn´t hear the rattle if the door is closed. It´s when my door are open or panorama roof is open then I will hear the rattle.
I drove my car today and no squeal... well hope it´s gone now... I only got 700 miles  I must drive longer distance.

When I took my car in to Audi I knew there was a TPI regarding exhaust valve rattle, they said my noise was advanced cold start warm up Catalyst cycle and normal

They stated that my valves were fine.

They also said the TPI currently has no resolution and Audi ‘could’ be working on something

However since making my discovery about the S mode stopping the noise I’m convinced mine is indeed a rattling flap issue of some description.

It’s not enough to warrant me taking it in a second time, as it becomes a chore and I don’t have the time to keep taking it to Audi.

Condensation is normal. I sometimes get it in my PFL. The lights run at such a high temperature that it can cause condensation on the inside. There are holes in the light unit for it to drain away.

Google it as it impacts other Audi models too.

haha sure it´s advanced cold start warm up…:tearsofjoy: They also told me now they got a TPI and Audi it´s working on it :nomouth:. I also do not want too take my car back and forth to Audi unless they have a solution to it.
