This means that there is a series of prerequisites which will need to be met before the procedure can be completed. If the prereq's have been met then the process steps, or the"order" of steps, is not correct. Steps can include pausing for X amount in addition to completing coding in an order.

@DJAlix there's quite a few discussions about AWD > Adaptation > Wiring Logic > Increased traction lately on varies forums, the benefit is definitely there, the car is way more neutral with this setting but people are afraid if it would wear out Haldex quicker... I suspect this is what the quattro Drive Select option is on the FL, can you please help verify does changing the quattro setting in Drive Select is indeed changing this setting? Thanks!

Will do some testing the next time I get a FL 8V pop over, unless anyone reading this wants to pop over for a testing session in order to see whats what :)

Nope, current one is a keeper as the plan is to give it to the Mrs :)

The A3 Quattro does not have AWD control included in Audi Drive Select. Steering, Engine / Gearbox and Suspension (as I have magride) only. When I get some time to myself I am gonna try and add it to ADS tho.

Hmm.. Interesting, do you think it's possible to add it to ADS on PFL with MMI2? I'm installing MMI2 to my PFL next month, would be cool if it can be added :D

Not sure to be honest. FL might be possible, PFL might need a new CAN gateway.

You will have the passive / indirect TPMS system from the factory. Direct / Active is not a factory option for the 8V but can be retrofit. Would need a sensor valve in each wheel, a control module and cabling, and then coding.

hey alex, i did an idle adjustment with vcds on my 2015 s3. i have been test driving it for a week and now i need to adjust it some more but now i cant adjust it.
no code was needed to adjust it before.



any idea on how to fix it?
does the temp of the engine need to be at operating before adjustment?

What did you adjust? Throttle body?

It could be that "conditions" need to be met before performing this and that you just happened to meet these the first time you made the change. To be honest I have no idea as I have not done this on an 8V and I would normally just let ODIS handle it. What I do know is that on the A3 8P's and TTmk1's there are no such conditions.

Wondering if you might know the answer, awhile ago I was messing with the car. Somehow I've lost the ability of the mirrors folding on lock. It option still shows up in mmi and is enabled, but the mirrors now only fold if I hold the keyfob lock button for a few second.

Maybe know how to get it to fold on first lock? TIA

Your mirrors are set on convience in stead of "look" command. Change it in 09 - adaptions.

I am currently documenting all possible "basic" and "advanced" modifications so that people can see whats possible with all VAG vehicles and once complete will publish to a new section of my website which is currently under development, with no ETA. I will also be publishing select coding steps and example videos.

My original document was removed as it was being abused but many of the modification details are contained within this thread. Its a lot of reading but there is some amazing information contained here for a great many people, well worth taking the time to run through it all.

I imagine there’s a way how but I can’t find it.

When you turn off the car but don’t lock it the lights stay on for 30 minutes. How do you decrease that time?

30minutes?? You mean seconds....

You can change it in module 09 - adaptions. Type "coming" in the searchbox and you will find the coming duration setting.

@DJAlix please help... I finally did the MMI2, VC retrofit, everything seems to be working properly except drive select mode isn’t showing on VC, Is there a coding to enable it?

Drive select menu doesn't show up on the virtual cockpit screen like it does on TT/R8. It does still show you what mode you're in though.

Yeah, I meant it doesn’t show what mode I’m in on mine, not the menu :(
 
So - I'm new to the 8V platform, but came from a B8.5 S4 - however this is the first car I'll be doing more than a 'Carista adjustment' on...

I'd like to first know if on the '18 RS3 I have to change tire circumference when going between my winter (square) setup and my summer (staggered) setup. The tire diameters on the staggered are 25.0 (F) and 25.5 (R), and the square setup is 25.5 all the way around.

I've got other questions and things I'd like to do in mind, but this is the top of the list right now! I'm buying a RossTech cable on Tuesday, so I'll be set up with the computer by the weekend.

Hey!

Sorry fella, seriously busy at the moment. The issue could be a combination of things to be honest, and depending on the "thing" would depend on the tool which needs to be used. Initially I am thinking its coding. Will need to setup a TV session to bottom out whats going on, problem is time unfortunately.... I just don't have any at the moment :(

Pretty sure there is an option in the MMI for this? on mine i can set the radio/music volume when reserve/parking sensors are engaged. it wasnt activated by VCDS & is standard.

I thought that, by I can’t find anything in any menu. I had my rear sensors retrofitted by Audi as it didn’t come with them from new. Does the MMI need an update or something?

Mine is a 2014 PFL and think it hasn’t been updated in ages so I would have thought that there is something weird with your system or you simply haven’t found it! Can’t say exactly where it is in the MMI as not near my car at the mo, sorry not much help, but I’m sure it’s in the sound settings and I think I can access that particular setting via quite a few menus, for example within Radio, if you click on the settings tab it will give the option to alter it, but the easiest is via the main menu.

Maybe you don’t need an “update” but maybe this feature needs to be “activated”.

Here you go. Just took some pics for you. Its in the main menu, under Driver Assist, then Parking Aid. In Parking Aid go down to the next page and its there. If you are FL or a higher spec PFL than mine then it might be different.
