These are great little devices. The app is simple and you get one month free subscription for the pro version (which is when you can make any mods), after that just use it as a simple code reader/reset tool.

I paid £31 for it a month or two ago. Now on Amazon for £9.99

Oooh, good spot, might take a look as a prelude to a VCDS purchase.....
 
Wow good spot. Worth it at this price. Do all the mods you need in the free trial. Not been any really worthwhile updates in the year iv had mine.
 
Just ordered one of these to activate folding mirrors on lock in my S1.

I have VCDS but handy to just have this in the car as and when.
 
Now I can leave one in each car!

Thanks for the heads up, I think that Carista are getting out of supplying their own adaptor, they are sending out info on another one from a third party or partner.

You can setup mirror dip on reverse, it only works though when you have the dial for the mirrors facing the passenger mirror.

Does anyone know if video in motion can be enabled via Carista yet?

Went well! Activated mirrors to fold on lock / unfold on ignition ON. Also used it to activate a few things on my girlfriend's A1, one being the mirror dip on reverse - she'll still kerb the wheels no doubt.

Anything else can be done on S1's? I had a look through the Carista menu but most of the stuff seemed to already be turned on. Will be handy if I ever get a warning light though I guess!
 
Will this reset a service light on a 2010 a4 tfsi
 
It should do, yeah. On their website they list compatible vehicles but I'm sure it will work.
 
Pretty certain total closure / opening of windows by a long button press doesn't work on my car - yet found a menu with it already activated?

Bought it for mirror dip on reverse and works a treat!
 
Damn, missed out. Any of you know if you can can this cheap elsewhere Amazon is showing as £50 or should i just wait for Amazon to drop the price again?

Apologies if this is a silly question but will this do all I need it to for changing the rear brake pads/discs? Thanks in advance. Lee
 
Yes it gives the option to service the rear brakes
 
Out of interest why do you need software to do the rear brakes and what cars?
 
Newer cars have electromagnetic hand brake that needs to be released with software in order to change brake discs or pads.

Just ordered mine Carista dongle from Amazon but at £15.99 with free shipping on Prime.
It will be £34.99 p/a for pro subscription. Think it is worth it.

Got already all extra mods done but might be handy when traveling to Europe by adjusting the headlamps.
In my 2010 A6 Avant it lowers the beam. Thought it will straighten it flat but no.
