with winter just around the corner who's taking there S4 off the road?
Yeah before people say what's the points it's quattro.
Too many nutters no insurance etc high chance of it been smashed in to.
Mine went for it's MOT 4 weeks ago and all I've done is 1500 miles in 12 months.

My S4 is the only car in the family,so I'll be driving it

My February 2011 B8 S4 has just passed 22K, so you can see it gets some serious use - not! My only reason for not using the S4 in winter is that it is easier/quicker to wash my wife's Polo - both have winter wheels/tyres on before the salty season! Any long distance journeys, maybe more than 75 miles each way, and the S4 gets used, using it for short journeys just does not make much sense to me.

Bit ridiculous, a car is meant to be driven. If you are going to garage a car like this for the winter you should of gone with an econobox to begin with.

You are always at risk from idiots, all 12 months of the lunatic year. Just get out there and stop worrying.

S4 stands for Seasons 4 :friendly wink:

Summer that is for some. For others it is an ‘All seasons’ car including for myself.

I definitely didn’t buy it to be sat in my garage and whilst I have my DD B7 A4 I love driving my S4 no matter how long or short the journey is.

And like XP, I am definitely not loaded

Iv never understood the whole second car to keep the good car good or don't want to put miles on good car

The S4 is just a (very important) car to me. Cars perform a function but I love it when they also bring a smile to my face.

I bought mine specifically because it's fast and practical. Got a mk2 tt for sale if you're interested?

My wife and I have our own company.
We're in the motor trade.
All the vehicles are on the company insurance.
Fiesta is £20 Tax. All my miles are in my company van.

S4 all year round. Commuting wagon. Kids transport. It's why it's great, such an all rounder.

Well. You're all loaded. I Can't afford an S4.
Sorry. Can't justify a S4.

My Leon will stay on the road throughout winter in hope someone smashes into it.

But on the point of nutters being around. I attend more rtcs in summer than i do in winter.

Nothing wrong with a Leon. Wife had a FR184 TDI. Only bought the Q5 because our little baby was diagnosed with epelepsy at 3 months old. The S4 has isofix in the front and so does a Q5. My little boy comes top if you ask me. People all say what about a Renault... fk that!

Yes, what about a Renault, a jaggy one for the shoppers car park? I once considered buying my wife a Renault mini mpv thing with 4WD - until I discovered its MPG was round about 20, sod that!

Renaults are so low geared. 70 mph and the motor is revving it’s goolies off at 4700 rpm...
