So my day today started off like this taking a quid pic of under the bonnet, pretty standard and normal-

Then took a trip down to TDI Tuning in chelmsford-

After speaking to them for a while via email and phone, I decided instead of a remap that I was going to go for the tuning box to try it out.

Had one of their engineers fit it for me whilst I waited and had a cup of tea :)

As you can see from the before and after photos the box and wiring is hid away very well.

Was advised to leave the box on programme 4 for atleast 20 miles to let it settle in and then decide which programme I want to use. 1-3 are the more economic settings, 4 being the mid setting and 5-7 being the more for performance settings.

I will hopefully end up putting it on a rolling road to see the outcome figures but hopefully should get a figure around the 195bhp mark on setting 7 so thats around a 47bhp increase.

One thing I did like with using TDI Tuning is that if I decide to get a new car I can remove the box and wiring, and get new wiring and the box re-programmed to my new car for a fee of around £100, which to me is very reasonable.

Ill post a few updates once ive started to find out how its feeling from driving etc so far upon driving for a few miles on setting 4 I can feel an improvement, but need to go on a bit of a longer drive to see how it proper performs and then increase the settings.

Other then that the people I have dealt with in the team have been wicked to deal with, very polite and professional (compared to other companies, no names) and would highly recommend them for this reason.

FWIW, we're seeing the placeholder image saying to upgrade your account to enable 3rd party hosting. Probably your account doesn't permit that but, as you're logged in as yourself, the images show for you.
