1.4 vs 1.8 - mods

Wanting to buy my first Audi, is it worth saving more & spending more on insurance to get the 1.8? I can't seem to find any mods that are compatible due to the 1.4 not being as popular. TIA

Bite the bullet and go for the 1.8T. I my self have the 1.4 TFSI due to insurance and it is limit to its capability.

Have you been able to modify it at all, if so what mods?

I've not had it too long but i've looked into induction kit , straight through exhaust , remap got quoted by a local remapping place
125bhp 158lbft to
150bhp 205lbft.

All i have done so far is visual like tints , RS Grill and Alloys.
