Question for people that have taken delivery already. My car is currently sitting at tyne (since Tuesday), for talking sake, if it were to get on a transporter today would I jump to status 40 during the day or would it update at midnight?

This was my timeline. Status 30 to status 70 was 11 days which was incredible.

I must be the exception - still showing build next week but not moved from status 10 yet.... Fingers crossed the pre build stages are happening and the tracker is not updating.

Anyone else got their build scheduled for next week ?

Mine got to Emden 21/6 and has just arrived at Tyne 18/7 nearly one full month! Still sitting at Tyne just now as we speak! Seems very random! Hopefully you'll it be waiting as long as me!

My s3 arrived at emden on the 7 th July and has been at grimbsy since the 19th ! So it should be at the dealers any time soon...

I know it's been at Tyne since Monday night. The way they scan the cars is very random. Hopefully on a transporter this weekend for delivery next week.
 
Wife's cabrio finally arrived at dealer's yesterday. I signed the finance papers today and she will be picking it up on Monday evening. This follows notification from dealer on 28 June that it was awaiting shipment- it's been a very slow crossing!
 
Mine has finally gone to 39 today :) I've checked the ship's and it looks like it's on City of Amsterdam heading for Grimsby. Although from reading the comments I assumed it would probably come on Weser Highway - but that is currently travelling back to Emden from Grimsby so not possible. Anyone else noticed Audi using City of Amsterdam before?
 
It makes no difference how the car is being paid for, Audi will get paid in full when the car is delivered to the customer. If the car is paid via finance the finance company will pay Audi on the customers behalf then charge the customer interest on the loan repayments.

Timing of manufacture are purely controlled by production capacity and component availability. A good example is the pano roof, as the car needs an extra operation to install the roof the production track output is slower so Audi will group together all cars with the pano roof so as not to slow down the output of standard cars

Status 10 to Status 30 overnight. Status 21 to 24 dated back end of last week as expected. Clearly the tracker hasn't been updating.

Looking back through this thread not everyone gets status 38. Im waiting for a boat to Grimsby.

If I was available to collect this weekend, sure it would ! Work & holidays pushing me for a September registration. The wait continues!

Mine arrived at Emden on 21/6, collection on Monday 31/7 Not sure if anyone has been this long??
 
Mine arrived in Sheerness on Monday. Just waiting now for it to be loaded onto a transporter and delivered to the dealership. I'm hoping it will arrive in time for me to be able to collect it next Tuesday, but I don't have a lot of luck usually so I won't get my hopes up lol.

My Ara Blue S3 arrived at my dealers last Friday, but still no idea when I'm picking it up!!

Keep speaking with the sales manager, but keep getting the same response "... we're very busy..."

I'm very frustrated!!!!!!!

That's bad ... Have you signed the paperwork? If not question them whether they actually want your money or not.
 
All paperwork signed on Monday, just can't understand the delay, surely their PDI department can't be that busy at this time of the year??
 
That's lousy. Assuming you're on finance as soon as you sign the dealer gets paid for the car. I'd set up a tent in the showroom or at least make a proper nuisance of your self. a few comments to AudiUK on social media may also help rush things along.

Care to name and shame the dealer ??

EMS Highway and Wesser Highway are both due into Emden within the next few hours. This gives me 2 more possible sailings to Grimsby. Its funny how marinetraffic.com doesn't show a destination for Makassar Highway. I'd love to see one of these car carriers in the flesh, to hold 1600 vehicles they must be a right beast.

Where in the UK are you. My A3 is going to Bolton Audi so I'd assumed it would ship in to Grimsby as its geographically the closest to the stealer.

You should go there; tell them they have had it for almost a week and its been paid for so you want it tomorrow. Don’t let them fob you off.

I'm in Norfolk. The ships pass close to my coastline to get to Grimsby. But it doesn't really matter. A transporter will only take a couple of hours longer to get here from Sheerness. I just hate all the waiting. I'd pick it up myself if it was an option. Haha.
