I haven't tried Redex on a diesel, but I've used Diesel Rhino, I can't say there was any hard evidence of any benefit but the mpgs did appear to improve, could have been my driving though . . .

I use it from time to time (the diesel option) plus something like the full Forte diesel cleaner version once per year. No problem whatsoever - never had an EGR problem and get over 60 MPG on a long motorway run. An alternative is to use premium diesel from time to time. The aim is to create a slightly hotter and thus cleaner burn which helps keep carbon built up to a minimum. Tesco often slash the price in half to £2 for a two shot bottle - at which stage I pounce and by 3 or 4 bottles :glee:

This stuff is excellent: BG244

I've used this on my parents Jaguar XF and the petrol version on mine and my girlfriends cars, seems to do the trick.

I got my Allroad Terra cleaned and since have only run on Shell Diesel Nitro - engine has done 105,000 and no smoke on cold start or spirited driving. Throttle response after was noticeably more responsive and smoother, not sure I saw much change with regards to economy but all in all was that impressed that did the wife Touran as well.

How much was the treatment?
