Morning all.
Looking for a bit of advice. S3 is booked in to the stealer for an oil change service on Monday, but looked at the MMI earlier and it is saying an inspection service will be due in 90 days. Car is on flexible services. Last inspection was June 16 at 19k miles. Car is just heading towards 31k.
Now I thought Inspection services were every 19k or 2 years. Is there any reason why the time could reduce by 9 months?
It will have to go back at 38k for all the supplementary fluid changes due then anyway, but potential of 3 services and an MOT in 6 months is not a welcome one!

If its coming up to 3yrs it could be due to the fact it requires a brake fluid change

Thanks SJC, I'd thought of that but the date will be over a month past 3 years. I'm kind of looking forward to the inane excuse the stealer comes up with on Monday!

SJC is right. I asked my dealer same question. Its so you wont forget to change brake fluid when your audi is 3 year old.

Cheers Aparatos
The car is in for the oil change today. I've told them that I will not pay for another inspection service so soon, especially on top of the oil change today, and asked them to confirm why it is coming up. Nothing back yet, and pick it up in an hour

My S3 has only done 24k it has had 2 inspections, both with a oil change and on the last one some sort filter change of sorts, so to go 31k with just 2 inspections in pretty good

So they couldn't come up with any reason for the date of the inspection service on the MMI. Brake fluid would have been due over a month earlier than the date. Had the brake fluid done today to save me the hustle later and MMI now reset for 7k miles or 11 months, as it should be.
jassyo06 - on both service programmes the inspection service is fixed at 19k or 2 years, whichever comes first. So unless your car is 4 years old and you are doing less than 6k a year something is off if you've had 2. I'd have expected an oil change service and an inspection service in 24k of average use (10 to 12k a year). At 31k I've now had 2 oil and 1 inspection service plus break fluid and the Haldex fluid flushed and replaced under warranty
