He did ask which version of the b8 I had? Told him it was the 8.5, he said if it's the led front lights it's removal of gearbox. Not sure if the dpf is located different between the 8 and 8.5 but I'll definitely keep what you've said @Meemo in mind if and when I get it done. CheersI heard the gear box thing before when i was ringing around, but mine was accessed from the top of the engine rather than from underneath, by removing the EGR cooler and air box, no need to remove the gear box
No I can't see that there would be any difference personally. He main business is a remap/tuning but is a bmw specialist as well.Bobby singh would know
yeah allot of places said gear box out, but a few said from the top, so i took that a sign of experience of that engine and only considered the ones who said they do access from the top.
not sure, i was under the impression it was only a facelift, and same engines.
mine is CAHA 170 if that helps, and has LED lights all round, dont see any reason it would differ after face lift from just that.
He said he does it from the underneath of the dpf so there is no signs of it being touched.

Hello there, what would you class a long run ? Many miles we talking ?Well I might be a bit biased but I think the one you linked is the best one really ...... As for the DPF issues just make sure it gets a nice long run once a month and it will clean itself and everything will be fine ...

If it's for cleaning the dpf, think you are supposed to get it over 2k and keep it there for at least 20mins plus.
Run a bowl of hot water with washing powder, and leave the filter to soak in it for a few hours. Let it dry overnight, and when you put it back in, the car'll smell of Persil.Think I need a new cabin filter

Lad who I'd been introduced to who sells car cleaning stuff gave me a few bits to try today when I popped in to buy a bottle of collinite 845 wax.
Don't know the brand find out later but got extreme snow foam (best stuff I've ever used really thick and clinged for ages)
Snow foamed, rinsed, fallout remover (again not sure of the make)
Wheels mega mega clean (didn't need to wash them) better than bilt hamber stuff I've used before.
Snow foamed again, rinsed
Used shampoo have gave me to try as well (I'll find out all these makes and post later)
All done and it ****** down once I'd dried it so not time for fresh coat of wax

I've bmws before this audi and always moved on when the car lost its reliability. This a4 was the first car where that wasn't the case. Its never missed a beat (apart from the dmf and clutch issue) would just cruise along merrily. Drove great and imo looked great too.
So after much searching missing out on a few mustangs, finally got this.
It's certainly no bmw or audi (it's a ford after all) but it drives very nice and certainly shifts.
I'll be sticking around if it's OK? As this has been a great forum, great bunch of members who will always help anyone.
