Evening all. Was wondering if it's worth upgrading my 18" alloys to 19" alloys. The S4 RS alloys do look the part.

Trouble is if I add it to my order which is due to be built next week as a MY18 build it tips it into the higher car tax band and thus incurs an extra £340 a year-ouch.

The other option is to aftermarket fit via Audi. Does anyone know how much they would be?

It's your personal choice, I wouldn't.

Also if you have a confirmed build that close surely you can't change order as it's locked.
Or worse delay the build further...

I'd be interested to hear responses on this as I have the 18s. Actually grown to really like them as they're only on the S4 - where as loads of diesels have the 19s and look common.
Also had an a7 for a while on 19s, and was a lot harsher ride, but more agile handling. Pros and cons as always!

If you want the bigger wheels, for that price you could buy them afterwards, and when you hand the car back, put back the originals and sell the 19s - surely cheaper?

I wouldn't have the RS 19's, the Matt paint mean they never look clean, and are a pain to clean!

picked up my s4 avant on Wednesday (wow what a long wait) with the 19" RS wheels.. personally love them and they look even better in the flesh..

cleaned the car for the first time yesterday and the wheels were as easy to clean as my previous S3 wheels.. however I also sealed them so nothing will stick to them anyways :) do it! they look fantastic!

I've given mine a coat of Mint Rims in order to help, but I've got some Gyeon Rim to go on when I get the chance to take the wheels off

I was in the same position with my 2.0Tfsi Avant. I couldn't get the black pack / 19" alloys without pushing it over 40K

I like the 18's but prefer the look of the 19's. So I picked up some new Audi 10 spoke 19"s from Poland - I prefer these to the 5 spoke alloys.

The ride is okay too - I wasn't convinced at first as the ride seemed overly harsh but when I checked the tyre pressure the fitter had put 51psi in them all!!!

Its mush better now - the last two A3's I had both had S-line suspension and the ride is better than that.
