My dealership called me to arrange collection next week! I'm in Marbella all next week so will have to be the week after. Nice thing to come back to!

Rob - seems to me all Dealerships are like this - even ordering was a bit onerous. Twice I had to get them to correct the order, each time requiring a trip down to Dealership to re-sign the new order - and yes I missed the 2nd mistake - but literally had to pop down during a lunch-break.

Let's be honest - once they've got our orders - we're old news ...... Which when you're making/spending likely the second largest purchase in your life - does seem a bit cr@p tbh


I'm a T minus 22 days before I go collect the car - as others have said - time will seem to drag very slowly !!

My car has been at the stealer now waiting for detailing and collection on the 26th, I suddenly miss checking the tracker every 13 seconds :(

Mine has been all up in the air and in each different direction! Mine got to the UK port on 04/05. I had to ring my dealer for things to do with the paint protection etc. He told me that the 'Audi Centre' for dropping off the car is in Newbury, which is my dealers' (Oxford) Sister dealership. I asked Audi CS for an update on the car, to which I was told a transporter was ordered on the day it arrived (04/05) and it had arrive at 'the dealer' on 05/05 (presumably being Newbury). So six days later my dealer called me to say the car will be moved to them on Monday and I can collect it any days after that (Annoying I can't go Tuesday :(!)

So as weird as it all sounds, apparently my car would have been sitting at the 'wrong' dealer for 10 Days come Monday.

A long long long 13 days for me, without a doubt the worst bit. Especially when I've seen people on here get on a boat and land within a week of leaving the factory!

Yes I agree. I can't believe how laid back they are really. Kind of takes a bit of the shine off the excitement. Sent an email and left a message with them. I tell you what once it arrives and they want paying they'll move!

Still waiting to come to the UK on mine yet. Mines been at docks about 3-4 days.

Ok getting desperate now, my current car I'm using has broken down and beyond economical repair and I'm stuck getting to work. Mine came out the factory 23/04 . Least waiting for Xmas u have a date!!. I'm close to cancelling and buying used out of desperation. I've emailed the dealer today explaining my situation and asking if I can have a date of when I can expect handover

That seems like an awfully long time, it must be in the uk by now??

I've been told by dealership that they expecting mine s5 to arrive the last week of this month, they will update me once they have a defenitive date.

This is what I got from audi CS

"Morning Mike, it's still waiting to be assigned to a ship. We're sorry you were advised incorrectly, it usually takes up to 10 working days to be assigned to a ship. If the vehicle hasn't been assigned to a ship tomorrow we can escalate this to the Audi Sales Office on Monday morning. Thank you"

I'll be chasing them again today.

Perhaps worth you asking them to speak to the sales office @Wxm ?

Seems like mine has now arrived at the dealers as it was status 70 this morning so only about 3/4 days at the UK port. Just need to decide now whether to pick up next week or wait until the 31st when it's booked in at the detailers.

Hope you guys waiting get on a boat soon, it seems mad that we left the factory the same time and some are in the UK and others are still waiting in Germany :blink: makes you wonder whether it is just pot luck as to who's chosen!

Ironically, I'm actually on holiday for two weeks after today... I'd planned on taking the new car to Scotland. But I can't go now... without it.. as knowing my luck it will arrive the day after I get to Scotland. So I'll camp outside audi for the first week. Them travel up next week instead

Weather is good has been warm and sunny. Hopefully be good for when you visit. :) x
 
Just checked on mine, still at Grimsby since it was unloaded on Monday. They say upto 5 days so hopefully it will move on Monday.
I've now got a few days in Italy, cycling and watching some of the Giro so hopefully that will pass the time and I'll be able to pick up next weekend.

My car left the factory on the 7th so any time after that... So 1 week on Sunday. I reckon ive got another full week yet as well, depends how busy it is
 
mine left emden on Monday hopefully next week then holiday then pick up bank holiday weekend

My dealership called to arrange collecting my car BUT I was told I need to come in one day for a 'pre handover' to do the finance bit, then come in a day or so after to actually collect it... is this correct?? Why do I have to make 2 trips, they are 40 miles away and I have no other car now. BMW was all done on the same day! Anyone else had to do this?

You should be able to do it all in the same day! Im sure this will go back to my other post about them resubmitting finance applications!

Personally don't see why you could not do it same day? All our commercial vehicles I do in the same day. Unless anyone else wants to jump in and correct me?

Yeah Cheshire Oaks told me this mate. Is what it is, 500 mile round trip for me!! Looking forward to the drive home though M6 toll!! Can see that sitting on the limiter

I was told all mine is going to get done on the same day as collection! What dealership group are you using? Mines JCT600
