I got a call from the dealer yesterday to say that my car had now arrived in the UK and they had requested the transportation paperwork for delivery to the dealers which could take up to 2 weeks. Didn't mention which port it was in but I presume Grimsby. Tracker must be out by a few days as mine only updated to status 40 this morning.

I was given incorrect info. It's not on a ship, it's still in port . But it will be going to sheerness .. one day :grey:
 
Just had an email from Audi UK saying my car was a on a ship. All confusing given that the tracker said it arrived in the UK. Just chatted with Audi CS and they have confirmed that it arrived in Grimsby yesterday.

Hopefully that will be the last time I have to speak to them!

FYI, having become slightly tracker-obsessive, I think that it is largely nonsense. You can find the full detail of the status codes at https://www.skodacommunity.de/attachments/sli-pdf....

You can get detail of the "interim status 21-24" by logging into My Audi and then opening https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/... in another tab (credit: various forums on audi-sport.net)

My personal opinion is that the status 21-24 items (i.e. panel shop through to quality control) are just marketing fluff so that they can play you some whizzy videos. There are plenty of stories of people whose car has hit the port of entry whilst the tracker says is still in build, and vice versa.

I agree 100%

I have been speaking with My Dealer, Audi Fbook, Live chat & phone support all at the same time through my current build.

The online tracking has always been wrong or completely out with timings.

For example my car has been in QC for 3 days now on tracker but actually finished today and went to QC

Best accurate way to track is phone support or Facebook page. Other ways are a waste of time.

Slightly off topic ... what/whom are people using for Gap Insurance ? Need to line this up/start getting quotes in for end of the month.

Sorry totally off topic but im kinda worried the on the info here, it says audi magnetic displayed false????
I ordered mine with mag ride & even on the configuration you couldn't have 19 inch wheels without it, anyone help on this?

I think it's just a bit messed up , mine states 17inch tyres on 18 inch alloys :tearsofjoy:

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it. Mine constantly tells me that I've ordered a black edition S3 (when I haven't). So I don't think the alarms are needed just yet :D

Congrats!

Did your dealer call when it came into the UK? I've not heard from mine yet despite going status 40 on Monday. I've got history with my dealer not being at all pro-active stemming back to when I ordered so I'm just wondering whether I need to chase them or not. I guess they'll call me sooner or later but it would be nice if they called and give me an ETA pick up date.

I take it you've had correspondence with your dealer since ordering then? I know you're imminently awaiting yours arriving in the UK too.

I keep calling mine! Its hard to get a call back! I assume they are really busy

I've emailed them lots. An also been in a couple of times (for other things) they emailed me to tell me it had left factory. Said would contact once in the UK. But I said I would probably know before they do.

I've spoken to Audi CS via Facebook 4 times in the last wk. I've now been at the dock 14 days. Apparently if it doesn't leave tomorrow it will be "escalated" to audi uk sales.

My car is now at the port. Any rough idea on how long it actually takes? Audi told me 14 days max but usually its 10. Whats other peoples experience with this?
