A3 3.2 progress build

Small up date.

Just been enjoying the car lately and noticed a few little niggles, had a squeak from the rear.
Which turned out to be one rear caliper seized. Got my son to give me a hand to replace it and show him a few checkers to do on the car.

I also had strange vibration under my feet which you could feel from 30mph onwards. I had a bad feeling it was going to be expensive. Turned out to be my front tyre was deformed. Was strange as didn't feel anything on the steering wheel.

I really like the front splitter mod. Does that fit onto a non S-line sportback? Cheers

You need to check the inside of the front tires regularly , i don't often get much beyond half their life before they fail in some way, usually they just split.

Here are a set of Bridgestones off my S3, guy at the garage says he sees it all the time due to the camber and tow in on the S3/A3, they go on the inside so you will not spot it unless you keep and eye open.

Been a while since i updated, not a great deal has happened. new mot this week only advisory
was lower front arm bush. think i mite replace the lot with a powerflex handling kit.

Replaced the air vents with face lift ones.

Also fitted cruise control

Next up i fitted an rs4 start button ash tray delete and new type dsg gear knob which was an absolute pain to fit.

Had to modify the lever and the inside of the gear knob to fit

Next on the to do list is auto lights and wipers and flat bottom steering wheel. and possibly go a bit lower

cheers Trev

Nice mods, does the push start still need the key in the ignition ?, doesn't auto lights need a new windscreen ?. Would consider these mods myself but only if practical and reasonably priced.

Keep up the good work !!.

Unfortunately yes still need the key in the ignition.

You do need a new windscreen but mine is scratched and has a few chips, so insurance job for that.

Ive managed to get most of my parts from the scrap yard, as can be a bit pricey from audi
