S4 on MRC's dyno

seen that Revo have just taken delivery of their Dev S4 as well ... won't be long now til we see the tuning possibilities I guess.

It depends on the ECU. IIRC it took about 2 years for the B8 and then another 2 years for the B8.5. It was another 2.5 years for the SIMOS 16 in the last of the B8.5s. A comment I got from APR suggested that the ECU used in the B9 might be a tough nut to crack.

Might be best to wait for your warranty to expire before tuning anyway...

Just the thread I was looking for!

What do we think of the figures?

From personal experience I rate the MRC numbers as reliable and as good an indication as any.

343PS with 40 miles on the clock. Perhaps will make the Audi quoted 354PS with a few more miles?

I was hoping the car would be healthily up on the quoted numbers though (like the B8 S4 and 8V RS 3), so a little dissapointed. Fantastic torque curve though, which very likely compensates the experience vs headline power numbers.

Well more power is good of course and I haven't bought a car with less power than the last ever, but if the car drives how I am imaging it does with that torque plot, I wouldn't otherwise be put off.

I need to try one that's for sure.

I had one when my RS was being faffed about with. The MRC graph explains perfectly why it was so boring. I hate this trend of peaky headline torque figures below 4k and low redlines combined with lazy boxes that shift down too many gears.
