Upgrading rear door controllers

Hello,

Does anyone know of a rear door controller/module than can be used for ambient lighting? I currently have the half shaded controllers on the rear doors (front recently upgraded) but I am looking for fully shaded ones to accommodate door pocket lighting. Can see a good few examples on eBay buthe not sure if they are compatible with a face-lift a4.

Thanks R4+. Was having a look on there and the rear door module part numbers that's mentioned are the same as mine however mine are half shaded boxes (not ambient lighting compatible). My current modules are 8k0879759 D however I can find fully shaded ones online with a different letter at the end however just wanted to confirm if they will be compatible with my facelift car.

I dont think many people will be able to confirm that. Maybe if someone with the ambiante lighting pack can give you his module number??? Looking at the great tuto, the fully shaded should work. Especially rear ones don't do as much as the front one. If the one you found are cheap, maybe take a gamble and try them. If it does not work, just flog them back on ebay for half the price you paid and they will go no bother.

Really it was just out of curiosity if anyone had done it. Didn't think door pocket lighting was ever an option on a4

I dont know if it was an option for the a4. Once I will be able to put my hand on 4 cheap control modules, I will do mine as I love the footwells and the illuminated door handles in mine. It will be a nice upgrade.
