When you open the boot lid after heavy rain, are you finding that sometimes water runs down the hinges on both sides, and after really heavy rain, can run out the flaps where you get at the bulbs on the bootlid lights if you open it right open?

Dealer has checked, said light seals are fine, and its normal, and that after heavy rain, I should hold it open a little so that water runs away before fully opening it.

No water is actually getting in the boot, (unless it runs out the flaps after really heavy rain, and you open it fully) but I dont remember our A4 B8 doing that!

I dont remember mine doing that

Yes mine is exactly the same - a few splashes that's all that goes in my boot. After washing the boot area opening holds lots of water, whenever you think you have it dry, shut the boot and the water drops appear again. If we ever have a summer drought, the water company could probably fill a bucket with the water that hangs around all the seals on the car!!

i negate this by making sure my paint is so hydrophobic that it pretty much dries itself lol

I shall have to have another look when i get my car back from the dealers
