has anyone got experience with this brand? can get them here in the UK for £26 delivered.. or is there any other brands for similar price / cheaper but still good quality?

The Powerflex purple range is superb. Extremely well made with quality engineered, stainless steel metal fittings where required. Not the cheapest, but personally, I would not fit any other brand. People worry about "harshness" or noise transfer with polyurethane bushes, but the Powerflex purple range only sits around the upper "hardness scale" for new OE metalastic rubber bushes.

Lifetime warranty to if memory serves me right? Can't be bad to that get a new one supplied should yours split.

thanks very much for the replies! .. that link is the exact one i'm watching on my ebay, think i'll go ahead and order it

i'm getting the car remapped tomorrow and its expected to go up to around 150bhp, just want to make sure the car can actually get that down to the wheels better.. any other recommended mounts to replace? its a 1.9 TDI

not unless you want your teeth to shake from your skull lol

so leave everything else unless its broke/needed.. ive heard the gearbox mount is useful to replace?

cheers! well i ordered mine earlier so hopefully get the same effect

all done.. it does drive better but not the night and day difference some people have experienced, mind i do need to replace my gearbox mount too so that is probably affecting it.. no extra vibration either, so all in all a good upgrade

Nah just the front undertray off....it will take you longer to take the undertray off than it will to do the mount!

I find putting the tray back on a right pain! I had dirt in my eye, scratched knuckles, swearing and a right sweat on today trying to get my undertray back on. Nearly decided to leave it off, but couldn't bring myself to do that.

I need to look into the snub mount. Mine has 118k miles, so it's not gonna be fresh!

im not sure if mine was the original from factory on or whether its been refreshed since.. but mine has 148k miles on so it needed doing haha.. i just jacked the front up, put it on stands then crawled under

Ah that's not so bad then, I'll have a look at mine next time it's on the lift if it's that easy.

Your snub mount looks much better than mine did, I swapped mine for a 2.5tdi one which was much stiffer/better.

If the Powerflex snub mount isn't stiffer it won't reduce engine lift so will only make a difference if your original one is shot and judging by the photo yours wasn't. My car also has solid side mounts (from a B5 RS4) which will induce shake on idle but it's not earth shattering and that's in bucket seats with stiffer springs and shorter dampers.

I'm interested in what the Powerflex gearbox mounts and other suspension mounts are like if anyone has any opinions/reviews on these?

The Powerflex one is much stiffer than the OEM one made out of a rubbery foam but is soft enough not to rattle your fillings out like other poly bushes.

All in all the Powerflex bushes are a nice upgrade with a lifetime warranty....unless you go for the black edition ones as they are basically made for track cars.

Ah right cool that makes sense, thought you were comparing it to OEM when you said it was "maybe slightly softer that the rubber one".

I need to buy a snub mount for my tfsi, could anyone advise me if i need the D shape or the O?

Got mine put on this morning, as seems good when driving but does seem to be noticeable vibrations when tickin over and especially whenever moving off in first gear/ travelling slowly up a hill in first gear.

Anyone else the same problem is it normal ?

Did you centralise it so there was an even gap at the top and bottom as my 2.0 Tdi feels the same as the OEM.

Silly question but you did get the yellow one didn’t you?

I'm not sure, I don't think it was completely lined up to how it was before it came off I'll have another look on Friday. Yeah ordered the yellow one.
