I did mine about a month ago mate and it was a straight swap. You may need to do your windows though - auto up/down.

Straight swap. My Varta e44 died after four years. Recharging with a brand new CTEK - hope it sorts the problem out.

Yea mine went off as soon as I put it in first gear. Mines being checked today and he's found a drain from the fuse for the obd. Hoping it gets sorted it is drawing about 85 when switched off.

Had a call back just now. It's my Denison Bluetooth unit in the back of stereo draining it. Need to find out if anyone else has this problem as it cost me £170.

Recharged the battery with CTEK overnight and the car started with the first crank.
Might have a similar problem with something draining the battery. I got xcarlink plugged into the stereo and Bluetooth dongle in obd port to work with torque app.

As far as I know both devices are powered off when ignition off/key out.

Maybe just a mixture of short journeys /cold weather caused my issue.

He said once he removed fuse for obd port and plugged back in it was ok. Something was keeping power there but not sure how. The Denison is meant to run off radio power so I'm not sure but I'm assuming this is why my scans from vcds are showing faults with radio and central module.

Now I have to find out which fuse is responsible for my OBD port.

Does the Bluetooth one adaptor power off completely, I always remove mine but would be better if could just leave it there.

I believe it does, canbus comms in OBD port stops as soon as ignition is off but it could be that the dongle still draws power. I'll remove it for when the car is parked.

Your suppose to recode the ECU with the new battery. New stop/start battery comes with a code stamped on the casing. Using VCDS and the instructions easily available on google i did mine. You don't really need to but its apparently away of telling the ecu a new battery has been put in and the code on the battery updates the ecu if the ampage is slightly different so it knows when stop/start should be kicking in.

You probably will have no problems just replacing it but to get the best out of stop/start i recoded mine, took 2 mins.

Right, been trying to code my new battery in but I cannot seem to get the correct serial off my new battery. I swapped out a Varta AGM for a Varta AGM Silver Dynamic. I will add a pic now of my old and new batteries. Any advice on how to code the new or if I actually need to???

Also, after removing the Bluetooth module, I don't really seem to have any faults after 4 scans only my EGR Valve which I'm deleting anyway. I do get a radio not coded correctly fault but its working fine so I'm unsure about that.

That cross/line through the symbol means start/stop is not active. I thought it was a brake fault but it could be that it wont work because the battery is not operating at full/proper capacity from what I've read on other forums. My battery is not working as it should after being left for about 3 days with minimal use it starts straight away and will test drive tomorrow to see if my start/stop now works again.

I'm going to get my vcds plugged in tommorow try suss it out
