Ok so my B8 S4 has chrome which I've never been that much of a fan (hence my old A4 was a Black Edition). Think I'll just get the rails etc wrapped but as for the front grill I have a few questions.
  • OEM or After market - what have people done and what are the recommendations (I was looking at what appears to be a good condition second had OEM black edition on ebay this morning)?
  • How easy are they to switch (have front sensors) and things to look out for?
Cheers,
Toad.

I put an advertisement in the classified section. Someone on here messaged me privately and we went from there

Xenonz UK supply RS grilles. Easy to fit takes an hour and can be done on your own. Search Google for how to and there are lots on here and Audizine.

I recently did it and kept my original s4 grille but painted it black. I will have another one for sale in a few days when finished refurbing.

You gotta replace the fog covers with honey comb style otherwise looks odd combined with the s4s original 'lined' covers. Think they're about £40-£50 on eBay..

I kept the s4 grille on the basis I will get an rs4 one when i get an rs4

Got my RS4 stylee grille from a seller on eBay, this was the item number: 191984330334 - I ordered gloss black grille and surround but with chrome rings. Fit was perfect and as mentioned above, v easy job to remove. (obviously, I didnt fit the RS4 badge !! )

i prefer the lined covers :tongueout: i think there is cut outs in the bumper too for the fins not sure if the honeycomb grills cover that

+1 I think they look a bit more aggressive as they cut into the bumper. There are groves for them on the s-line so would imagine it's the same on the S4. I don't think the mesh fog grills do cover them if I remember correctly

Driving Passion who I googled after seeing the image above, are developing honeycomb Foglight grills for the B8 S-line. I've just voted for the new part via http://driving-passion.com/products

I would like a set of these to go with the RS4 grill I've sitting in the garage...as long as they're not too expensive!

yeah +1 on keeping lined S4 grill. I'm not a fan of the honeycomb now had a proper look around.

Like I said if you want a refurbed one I'll have one ready in a week. Otherwise Audi want £379 for the black optic version or you could try a Chinese one off eBay..

Parking sensors pop out no issues as does the wiring for fog lights. Once the bumper is off its a piece of cake, but even getting the bumper off is easy enough. Just put aside an hour or two
