Hi All

Of course we don't buy these cars to drive them like grannies, but just curious how much it costs to fill your tank approximately and how many miles you get for that? Will be interesting to see the differences across the board.

Personally I don't look at how many miles I've done, if it needs fuel I fill it! Probably differs between fills depending on how much she's been in dynamic!

£59 to fill up yesterday with Tesco momentum 49litres at 120.9p getting between 270-320 miles a tank.

Usually costs me around £50 with V-Power and I'll do 300 miles

I'm getting between 250-270 a tank and I drive it like a rally car... The only time the poor thing sees anything under 3k RPM is when I'm at a set of lights. And anywhere between £50-£55 with supreme/v-power

That's quite impressive actually, better than I thought. I use Tesco Momentum in my Motorbike and it performs really well.

To be honest mate I only done it out of curiosity because my friend has an m135i and struggles to get 250 to a tank haha and that's liberal driving too!

i did a 500 mile round trip yesterday to pick up a new car for my dad, full tank of v power before i left and i used 3/4 each way needing to refuel before i started the return leg , similar costs and miles to the guys here

220 miles per tank

More than I want to spend, not as far as I'd like to go...

Honestly, I never even look. If I was an mpg miser I'd have bought a 1.4, or even a diseasle version....

280 - 310 miles per tank
Usually fill up when around 50 miles range left.
About £55 of Sainsbury's Super Unleaded to fill up again.

270-290 miles. My commute is short.

About £55 - £60 to fill BP Ultimate. Usually fill 45-50 litres. Although today was 45 litres for £66 I think it was. Expensive round here at the moment.

Usually £60 every week to fill mine with Shell VPower.

Short commute to work and get about 250-300 miles per tank.
Think the max I've ever had is just over 300 to the one tank

Short commute and do £60 a week! I've got about a 10min drive to work and am filling up once every 2-3 weeks lol

I used £60 a week, tesco 99 or shell 99, get 250 - 270 a tank.

Last week I got 220 after fitting the JB4 and messing around with the settings

360/370 miles per tank and it's always Shell v power, however I do a lot of long journeys on motorways in 6th gear

I burn a lot of fuel letting the car warm up before journeys every morning, probably why my mpg has never been above 18

This is a practise that should be avoided. Despite common belief, it's bad for the engine to do this, not good.

Anywhere from £45-£50 on a full tank and around 280 -over 300 miles on a tank....All guesswork as like many who have an S3 don't really care what mpg it does...lol

I literally just watched a video on YouTube about S3 mileage per tank and mpg and saw this thread pop up, spooky!

A question I was going to ask the dealer when I pick up the car but you guys are probably more in the know! Will I want to be using premium fuels to fill up?

@Joetidman good to see you back on the 8v forum, although see you are planning an exit strategy already with the S5 order

£50-£60 and 360-380 miles between fill ups and do a fair about of motorway and dual carriageway A road miles

Seems I got completely bent over filling up at a BP in the middle of nowhere last week, cost me about 75 quid!
