I have a 2014 A4 B8.5 1.8t multitronic (CVT) 160hp, the chip tune makes it around 200+ hp.

Is it recommended? Will the car reliability be affected, can the CVT handle the massive torque gain?

Any help is appreciated

FWIW, one of my VAGs is a 1.8t that I've owned for nearly 16 years now. I had a chip tune shortly after getting it (taking it to 212hp). It's not CVT, so can't comment on that, but it's still on the original (manual) gearbox, turbo, etc. and has covered 170k miles now.
I'd say a lot depends on how you drive it (and maintain it), but APR have a great reputation and I'd hope you could potentially have similar reliability results to me with 'just' a chip tune.

Thats good news I take good care of my car and I do all the maintenance at the dealership, I'm assuming after the chip I should change oil every 5k km or so and not go for 10k+

I'd agree that you should change the oil more frequently on a tuned car, but again it will depend on how it's used, the type of oil, how it's driven, etc.
Mine has been a workhorse from day 1, so has been well maintained but not overly pampered (oil changes every 10k or 12 months, whichever the sooner).

I got my car brand new zero milage, and in two years+ I am at around 80k km , so I do drive daily.. I think every 5k should be a safe bet

I think that will be safe, that takes you to basically the same HP/TQ as the 3.0tdi has as standard with the CVT box

The only tune available where I live is the APR, I cant wait.. I imagine the difference will be significant
