What's the best ones for getting the car low. I have fk at the moment but are tired now and looking for an upgrade and fk don't go that low

No budget
Don't mind paying a bit more for quality

@DPM
am I right in thinking that most coilovers for the VAG range are adjusted in ride height by winding the spring seat up and down the body of the coilover? Does this inherently mean that ride height and pre-load are not independent of each other?

@DPM have you ever dealt with BC-Coilovers? They allow you to adjust the ride height by winding the body of the shock through the lower strut mount and then pre-load can be adjusted independently using the spring seat. And i'd guess the shock travel isn't put out of kilter

Have the BC's on our S3 and they are great. Ride quality is as good if not better than standard.

Yup, that's great option, someone here was using these on his build S3 8L. He was amazed how much of quality performance they deliver.

I have a set of bc racing in my track eg6 and it is awesome the range of adjustability you can get for 800€.

Even in the street is comfortable has long as is tuned for that :whistle2:

Happy with my KW V2 coilovers thats all I can say :)

Easy to adjust rebound (Stiffnes?) on top of damper with an allen key.

Comes with TUV papers so can easy be registrated in car papers / approved for the car or whatever you call it.

This is how low I get them with my 9,5 x 18 wheels:

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread a bit but has anyone had any experience if one would benefit from double adjustability (KW V3) compared to singles (KW V2 plus a bunch of others) on a road car? I myself am after coilovers as well for next summer and currently been balancing between Bilstein, KW V3 and Sachs Performance. I definitely need a damping adjustment, preferably affecting both directions, to get the suspension a click or two softer for the winter months but don't really know if there'd be a need to fiddle with the compression/rebound balance. The KW V2's for example adjust only the rebound, am I right?
