just clicked on the link do you know if audi can detect as I have found some tuning boxes which claim they can not
So less power but more torque than the ABT.
I'm confused, so does that mean you're getting more torque lower in the rev range?
From my understanding you should be worried about the amount of torque rather than HP.

You'd be right power not torque. I've not looked at the ABT figures...well that's a lie...looked at the price! wild horses would pull that much money out of my wallet!

I am interested in a tuning box solution and Yes id prefer to not change the clutch seeing as I am on a PCP agreement and have no plans to keep the car any longer than 3/4 years.
Heard many sides of this issue, some people believe they cannot from a systemic point of view be found, but other people seem to believe they can be tracked.
I am under the impression the TMC/DTUK boxes only use two connections which dont directly communicate with the ECU? Am I right or..

At end of the day, the manufacturer can tell as they would expect to see certain readings from your ecu and if the ecu is not behaving in a certain way that is how they know. If you modify the car you may have to fight your corner if something goes wrong but with that said the manufacturer has to prove what you did caused the issue should any issues arise

I have similar concerns to you and after quite a lot of research I'm going to go for DTUK box - it doesnt raise an ecu flag like a remap would and the amount of power delivered can be adjusted (to hopefully protect the clutch). They also seem to have quite a good offer on at the moment (£80 off and 6 month 0%APR)

Hi,
Been running a DTUK Box for the past 15 months,
and have had no issues, clutch fine,270 ps, suits me,
until the RS1 comes along!?
Hopefully may be able to transfer - the goodies over!?

Which setting do you have it on? I was thinking 3+1 which I believe is linear power delivery with slight increase in power.

Yeh,I'm running 3 +1,nice power delivery, nothing silly,Kind to Clutch!
Running this with Forge Turbo Delete -Giving a Faster Spool,
and Pipercross Cone Open Air Filter(now including Heat Shield)
