Just called through to Audi cs. Didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. Car is at emdon waiting to go on a ship. Could take up to three weeks to get to the dealer

Saying that, I've been at status 30 since 12/01 so I'd have hoped it would have been on a ship by now

But again, I was originally told I was picking mine up before xmas. Then about a week before, I get a phone call to say my build week was put back to week 1. What's that smell?!

Yeah same as mine, yours has been sat there waiting a while by the looks of it :rage: I thought the wait from status 10 was the hard part but now it's so close it's even worse!

Frustrating isn't it, at this rate its 1st March realistically.
 
audi upgrades
I'm fairly sure the order tracker only gets updated once a week by Audi.

Ordered my A3 Saloon two weeks ago. Took a week before it would let me add the order to YourAudi then a further week to change order status from Ordered to Preparation.
 
Once it gets to status 21 and things start moving it gets updated daily I believe. I was checking each morning and it was progressing to 22,23 etc
 
It does take a while to for the tracker to change from Order to Preparation and from Preparation to the building phase but once that happens it changes on a daily basis. Usually one or two days in Panel and Paint Shop and a few couple of days for Assembly and then the car is on it's way to Emden. I placed my order on 15-Nov-16 and I was given a production start of 16 January. It did in fact start production on12 January and was finished and shipped to Emden on 14 January. It arrived in the UK yesterday (22 January). Any delay is usually down components, such as engines or gearboxes not be available. They don't start the build phase until all the components are there and ready.

This is of course at the Ingolstadt plant. Saloons are build at Gyor and when finished go from Gyor to Ingolstadt and then on the Emden.

At what stage do they move into preparation?

My car was ordered November 19th, its now in Sheerness port. Don't know how or why, but it flew through...
 
Ordered 23rd September and still waiting at Emden

My order date (according to your Audi anyway) was 16/11 and I'm still waiting for it to move from order received!

I'd call Audi customer services if I were you, the main number not your dealer, that doesn't sound right.
 
Got my build week, I've had it for quite a while now - since 15th Dec as it turns out after just checking, just have to wait I guess.

Surely it should have moved from order recieved to preparation by now though.
As said before, I think I ordered quite some time after you and mine moved to preparation quite some time ago

Same build week as Tom and mine hasn't moved to prep as build week still isn't 'confirmed'.
 
Ah, just checked 'myAudi' and the order date shows 15.10.2016. The dealer obviously had one already in the system and just updated the spec to reflect mine.
 
Must have missed Weser Highway :worried: still status 38 this morning.

I have just received an email to say my A3 is at Status 40 Ready for Transport to Dealer.

Which port is it going to. It is probably sat on the docks in Emden wait for an appropriate ship.

Hi, it's via Swindon Audi so assuming it would go to Sheerness but not 100% on that.
 
Mine moved to prep this morning, did yours @Rayner_1704 as we have the same build date (6th Feb)?

My Mrs' Q2 just arrived in UK. She ordered in late November, it absolutely flew through panel shop, paint and QC. I'd say about it took 1 week for QC and shipping to UK, pretty crazy?

Good stuff! I'm slightly worried as I can't see anymore ships due into Grimsby any time soon :coldsweat:

Wesser Highway is due to dock in Grimsby at 02:30 tomorrow (25/1/17).
 
Yes but I'm still on status 38 so I'm assuming that would have changed if I was on that? After him I see nothing!

Yes I would think it would be Sheerness and the City of Oslo is due to dock at 23:41 today (24/1/17) so hopefully your car will be on it.
