Hey all,
I have just changed from a new Fiesta ST to an Audi A1 2.0 TDI Sline Black edition.
Stupidly I just really liked the looks and did not give the engine too much of a thought, as it seems great on the test drive and really nippy.
However I now have a bit of buyer remorse and concern, I only do about 15 - 20 minutes journeys in the week and maybe 30 - 40 miles every 2 - 3 weeks. I assumed that due to this being a small city car that the engine would be fine for this type of works and tuned as such.
However I am reading more and more about diesels and the 2.0 TDI it appears I was wrong and if I am potentially killing the EGR and DPF and am setting myself up for a costly bill.
Obviously a bit gutted, ultimately I know its my own fault but I just assumed a city car would be designed to deal with situations encountered in the city (short journeys / stop start driving)
So guess I am just looking for opinions, is my remorse correct?
Thanks
