What have you done to your 8V today?

Not sure about the speed, but it activates with the corner sensors I believe

My sometimes comes on at 15mph in a straight line just going up the slight ramp as I approach my road. Also some weather conditions will trigger them as will the guy behind if he gets too close in traffic.

Still worth doing though LoL !!

Did you retrofit this or just replace your existing button?

No replaced my original start stop, I wouldn't have the tech knowledge to retrofit the system.

Got my warranty replacement AWE Touring exhaust. Current one is rattling like crazy and driving me nuts. Just waiting now for this rain to cooperate so I can install the new one and send the old back to AWE.

Yet another cheap cosmetic mod tonight!
It's like Xmas for the A3 everyday, all I need to do is drive it more often.

Got the AWE warranty exchange exhaust installed! Exhaust sounds great without the rattling finally!

I'm not sure about forum rules on links but go to aliexpress and type in Audi seat buttons, you'll find a plethora of them.

Came home to find a late x-mas gift from my Audi dealer which both fits and secures nicely on the backseat :)

Installed and tested a rather interesting little module. More information to come soon :)

Took the wee one to McDonald's to pick up her "Happy" meal. In drive through and felt the tyre catch the kerb. Convinced myself it was the tyre and all would be ok. Got out and checked, nope, drivers wheel kerbed.

Drove home, dipped the mirror and yup, you guessed it, nicked the passenger wheel too!

Drivers wheel is the worst of the two!

I have the alloy insurance Audi offer, but I worry they will never be the same :(

Anyone have any good news story's on these repairs?

Because your wheels are diamond cut the repair they should do is to machine /cut the face . As a result the ribs will appear ever so slightly wider due to material been taken off. The chances are you will not notice any difference provided they haven't taken too much off.
Here's a video of what's involved if the job is done properly...

Thanks,

Was having a quick look last night, my damage is very shallow. So I hoping minimal removal will do the job.

I am tempted to even leave the smaller of the two should it need donenin the future again

Just installed the DTUK pedal box and have to say its taken off the throttle response lag completely and feels a lot more eager to go. I haven't had a chance to test it fully but will do shortly. Feels pretty damn good though even in comfort mode as normally I would put the gear box in S to help the responsiveness, but that won't be required no longer :D

I love watching that diamond cut process. So cool! But don't want to even imagine the cost of that machine lol

You'd probably make that back looking at the threads on here - I'll probably do mine too tomorrow having said that ! ;o(

So easy to do and so costly to buy a new wheel - best thing I could suggest is tyres with some decent rim protection or those alloygators (think that's what they're called)

I've heard the Alligators damage your wheels also....Over time dirt gets between them and your wheel rim which rubs through the lacquer and causes corrosion.......You could do what I do and park feet away from the curb...lol
I've actually mentioned to my boss about investing in a cnc machine for alloys as like you said there might be decent money to be made but he wasn't really interested..:concern:
There are a lot of franchises available for anyone wanting to start up their business. Just like this one....

The wife damaged the front nearside alloy against a kerb so I'm debating whether to get it repaired now or later. £125 for Edinburgh Audi to send away and get repaired. Online quote for alloywheelspecialist is around £100.

Also interested in any first hand reviews of those alloygators?

Got a low tyre warning last night so checked today and all were way down 25 or 26 psi:wtf:
Pumped up by trusty foot pump n pressure gauge and now stored 39 front 36 rear. Just realised I've not checked em since new back in July 2015:wub:
But I don't really go far nowadays - thats my excuse plus dementia:whistle2:

Nice. Ara blue is a lovely shade. Nearly changed mine to it, but stuck with Daytona. If Sepang was still around, I'd have gone for that.
