Hi all,

Can anyone quote me the part number for the clutch and dual mass flywheel kit for my A4 Tdi 6-Speed AVF engine? And also are the sachs better than luk? I intend on mapping the AVF motor to 170bhp but have read that the LUK kits are not up to the job of the increased power...

I'd go Sachs over LUK myself, but if you want solid reliability I'd get rid of the DMF and put in a single flywheel and clutch kit

Do not put SMF in a tdi especially a 6 speed !!!!!
Solids are ok in petrols but diesels are awful with them, ive fitted a few and my fathers tdi 130 id mapped to 160 with a solid and its not smooth to drive, plus the torque in a diesel destroys the box with a solid.

I've only done it in petrols haha! Once you said that I can imagine the diesel's don't really like them, but if you are looking to handle lots of power singles are the way to go I think. Just have to be prepared to have your teeth shook out!

I had mine changed 3 years ago by Darkside, same as your's AVF , fairly sure it was just a bog standard LUK kit and it's on a remapped engine 163BHP been fine and I've put 80,000 on it so far

Yes I heard the Audi tdi's run very rough with the solid flywheels so I wouldn't bother with them...

Would you have any more details or part number of which SMF and clutch to fit to a 2004 1.8T 5 speed FWD A4 Cab? Cheers
