So been thinking is there a snow foam for white cars as obviously majority of snow foam is white hence the name but you cant always see where its been on a white car, so i got some strawberry colored snow foam, much much better and the smell, well i could almost eat it.

Did paint calipers a while ago just never had time to put pics up. (i know brake pad retainer not in, paint was
to wet to put back on.

Quattro badge on the grill too, not 100% on it but see if it grows on me.

Also went to fit some Puddle lights but they are the wrong connections, doh !!

Have you tried TFR instead of snow foam mate, IMO it works way better than snow foam but admittedly isn't as satisfying to put on.

TFR strips all wax`s, polish etc off the car the snow foam does not mate

It can do if used incorrectly mate but in my 5 years of using it on 3-4 different cars my LSP has never degraded any quicker than it did before using TFR.

Just make sure you use a reputable TFR and at the correct ratios, this only being relevant if the LSP has been applied correctly with the appropriate other prep stages prior to it.

Never thought about white car snow foam issues before. These first world problems...

Where did you get the quattro badge and how is it fixed? Looks ok to me from the pics.

Ride Italian. Drive German. Kiss French.

As above... more details on the badge please!

I am interested in that but some people on here in the past have said it doesn't 'fit' as it does on the RS3 grille, which is somewhat true on the standard grille but yours does look OK

Interested to know how you fixed it there and if the same method could be used to get it slightly higher so it is in the middle of that grille 'bar' you've put it on

Your FL car looks awesome, i had a bit of a "tingle" looking at that front end!.

Love the new instrument panel as well.

ENVIOUS!

Ah didn't pay attention that it was a FL

Still, that part of the grille looks the same as the PFL

Nice :D How hard/easy was it to paint the calipers red? Mine on my S3 are black and its giving me an itch!!! :(

The badge ive had a while, bought it off ebay, was about £55 iirc

The badge is double sided tape and 3 tint little screws, right fiddly job.

Calipers took forever, i took ever last bit of black off in the prep, but well worth doing right.

yes, the tape is only on one tidy bit of the grill so not enough to hold tight and secure

Any pics on how you mounted the Quattro badge mate? Seen the badge on eBay a while back but thought it would be to hard to get it to sit right

not a fan of that Quattro, is that just a bolt on or does that actually sit on the recess of the grill?

Looks a bit chavy and doesn't have that gentleman's touch lol.

Is that an Astra GTE I see hiding away in your garage??:search:

My only concern is do they actually go into the grille? As in, if you decide to remove it, you'll have three (possibly) noticeable holes in your grille?

not noticeable no as ive placed them on the middle of the silver ie where its black

Great pics mate.
I think you get green snow foam too as I looked into it when I had the white S5 previously but I persisted with the white stuff.
The Cavalier look in amazing condition, you've obviously looked after it.

Cavalier looks really well looked after, agree!

What flavour was the green snow foam?... asking for a friend. :p

When you said you was putting a Quattro badge on, i thought you was going old school, and swapping the S3 badge with the Quattro on the front.

Then i noticed the big freaking big quattro badge, i did laugh.

I like it, it looks quite subtle on an S3 with the chrome grill.

Nice mod.

Nice mod with the Quattro badge. It's a shame I can't do the Quattro badge or an RS3 grill swap as I have my radar camera in the bottom centre of front grill!

Callipers look good though I think i'll try and do mine and get the red clips/inserts. Anyone know how much a red set costs? Keep delaying my calliper painting as i know it's going to be fiddly and time consuming. Did you take the callipers off all the way (off the disk by disabling the electromagnetic handbrake)? That's what really worries me lol

Be cautious when using a coloured foam on a white car, if you let it dwell too much and it's coloured foam on white you sometimes risk leaving a coloured tint on the paint depending on the brand of foam.

My quattro badge has arrived... Not sure if it is the same as @mike price's or not... It looks same colours (black and silver)... But has 4 screw holes (q, a, second t and the o) and is actually in two pieces with a join in the middle (very subtle join though)

Will probably give installation a go tomorrow... Not sure whether I'm going to like it or not but only one way to find out! And not bad for £10 either way even if I decide I don't like it
