A4 Avant buyers beware

After selling my last Audi and going back to Bmw, big mistake anyway I've been browsing all over for another A4 Avant and came across this
Look at this on eBay:

Dosnt sound too bad for a facelift apart from been on register, but after doing some research it's not good, no logbook,no history,shows colour as black with dvla, one key, airbag light on and passed off as an Se

Just thought I'd post on here in case anyone's looking for one, I'm still in the lookout for a nice white avant

I wonder if all the VINs on the car are the same?

Looks and sounds like a bargain but as usually u get what u pay for! Thanks for posting this and spreading the info

Hey Mark how's things, I keep coming on to see what's going on, im wanting another Audi and wish I'd never sold my other A4,
I got paranoid with the timing chain and just never got along with it so sold it on,
I'm running a 4x4 for now as we do get quite a bit of bad weather up here,
But looking to buy in the spring unless a decent white one comes up

On the Audi I posted up yes it sounds like a bargain but the add dosnt mention any of the faults, problems it has, what made me wary to start off with was it says it's on sports suspension, but looking at the rear ride height defiantly On Se springs, I'd have been well annoyed if I was to go look from that discription, with no logbook you'd have to do the vin checks from a hpi report
 
I have just checked out this car, using HPI Trade. Yes it is an SE (a poorly specced one at that) was a Cat C insurance write off (30/3/16) It is down as being black in colour. CAP value the car at £3900 not taking into account the insurance loss. Glass's value it about the same.
I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!

Things are good Daz. Loving the A4 still. That's the same reason I got rid of my e90 (which you know I loved) just too concerned about the timing chain (and mine was on its way out)

You've done right not even considering that a4 you found. Thing is some poor person will buy it.

Yea defiantly not right I keep coming across it on my search, found it on gumtree now as well,
Think I'm going to hang on till the beginning
Of summer now and hang on to the 4x4 as it's not a bad motor, I remember now when looking for the last white one it was quite a search or maybe get a black one, anyway when I do I want to put it on air suspension as it's something I've not done before
