.......control keeps turning it's self off when I set it at around 30/35mph. At first I thought it was if I hit a bump in the road but after a few trials today it was doing it on long flat straight roads!!! I tried it running different drive modes but made no difference.....any ideas why it does this or do I have a fault? :(

Are you accidentally brushing the brake pedal and cancelling it...? Not sure under what other circumstances it cancels. Have you got the adaptive cruise control?

Could be interesting to get someone to drive behind you and see if you brake lights are regularly on... Maybe a faulty switch on the pedal?

Cheers, no adaptive cruise and certainly not touching the brake pedal!

I'll check out the brake lights this week, I'll drive behind my wife and see if they flick on/off?!

On mine I think it cuts off if you brake or drop a gear (manual box), maybe the s-tronic box is knocking down a gear and doing the same?!?! Have you tried it at a higher speed so you know the car will stay in top gear? 30/35 could just be on the gear change speed! Have you also tried it in different modes?

Just given mine a try... it stayed engaged at a steady 32mph around town and even going round a few sweeping bends it stayed on. I thought it might switch off if there was too much steering input? I also indicated to turn and it stayed on, but it was only when I braked it switched off. You can also change gear and it remains on, tho mine is a manual like @S32B's
