S3 Estoril blue with black styling pack

Hi all,

New member here, trading in my TT tdi for a new S3 !
I have put a deposit on an Estoril blue 3 dr due in to my dealer this month.
Spec
Estroil Blue 3dr
Black Styling Pack
Privacy glass
B&O
Tech Pack High
sline style Alloys

Anyone got any pics of an Estoril blue with the black styling pack? I really hate the fact that I am buying a car that I haven't seen!!

List price for Car is £34400 but dealer is offering at £32400..is that a good price?

Thought it was manual but had a call today to be told there has been a mistake as it is actually S Tronic so the price will go up....I have a new vehicle order form signed by me and a manager..does this mean they must stick to the invoice price or can they change it due to this error?
 
Argue it out they won't let you leave it and loose the sale
 
any one got any idea if the black styling pack will look good in Estoril? Looks good in white black and red cars I have seen, but worried it might look a but naff in the blue. Don't want it to look like a big standard spec A3 !!
 
Personally, I think Estoril is quite a dark, classy colour when the sun isn't shining on it, so the chrome strips really set it off and contrast well against Estoril in dull or low light.

The silver/grey number plate section on the front grille also contrasts well with Estoril.

And when the sun is out, the bling of the chrome also sparkles with Estoril !

So personally, I wouldn't spec a black pack with Estoril. But that's just me!

I agree with veeeight, it's a nice colour. Looks quite dark under most conditions, pops under some light. Depends if your prefer understated as Estoril blue is understated. Personally black styling on that car is a big no no, black on a blue navy car I think would just look too dark and the chrome sets it off nicely.
 
Well the car is built with the black pack and is now in the UK.
So decision is take this one or wait 4-5 months for another, by which time my TT would have depreciated by another £1500 ?

Just can't find ANY pictures of the blue with the black pack..anybody?
 
One of my good mates Scott has a Estoril blue S3 so can supply you unlimited photos but sadly it's not got the black pack. Considering the front end of a S3 is defined by the chrome grill it would not be my choice.

I've ordered a new S3 and loved the experience of choosing exactly what I want including exclusive colour. So yes I'd wait and get the perfect car for you !
 
IMO ... depends what look you prefer ie:

I personally like the front grille in chrome but don't like the window cappings in chrome so pondered this on my A5 for quite some time as the same dilemma.

In the end, I went for black edition and so pleased I did. It really blends well with the estoril blue but does give a much meaner / aggressive presence to the car, whereas the chrome front softens the look and edges more towards style than aggression.

But as we are talking S3 / S5 I like the more aggressive look and believe its suits this level of car.

Estoril can be a discreet looking colour on cloudy / dull days - but in a good way and no different to black, as it is a dark shade of blue.

On bright sunny days like we are having the moment, the colour transformation is staggering as it lightens up and 'pops' massively. Never seen a colour change tone quite so dramatically before in reaction to lighting conditions, it is quite amazing !

So, it all depends what floats your boat, traditional stylish chrome or moody aggressive black pack - both sit the colour though IMO 100% and hope that helps.
 
Black edition makes sense as a package and would have had it again if available on 8V. Good value and looks mean but quite happy with chrome look on our current 8 v.

yeah I thought the black pack might make it look a bit more mean, not overly keen on chrome trim etc, but I suppose the grill is unique to the S3, with black pack it could look even more like a basic A3 with a black pack?
Although I suppose Estoril with black pack will be quite rare as Estoril is now discontinued and the black pack wasn't available at launch

Anyway, if I can get this S tronic 3 door with these option for £32400 I will be happy !!

Had a couple of PCP quotes through Audi:
Mt TT as deposit - £15000
£238 per month for 48 months
Final Payment £9655
I do approx 13000 per year so quoted on 15000 miles per annum

Kinda thinking that this car will be worth £16000 to £18000 at trade in time, so upto £9000 as deposit on next car.

this is the first time I have used PCP..any thoughts on this deal?

There's an Estoril S3 SB with Black Pack + standard S3 alloys + black roof rails kicking around in Edinburgh (don't know if the owner is on here). It looks amazing...a combination that would be top of my list if ordering again and Estoril was still available for normal money. You will not regret it!!

Pretty sure that was parked outside Edinburgh Audi when I was in at the weekend. Possibly their demo?

Car arrived in customs UK on 14th April..what is the usual turnaround to get car to dealers and be available for me to collect?

I don't think black styling pack suits that colour at all personally, works on lighter coloured cars in my opinion. I am always torn over the black styling to begin with though.

I have seen Estoril blue with Black styling pack. I love the colour without it but that's just my personal preference. It looks lovely with the black styling pack...

I love Estoril blue and I am disappointed that I couldn't spec it for my S3 arriving in July. I have gone for Glacier White but there are rumours of a blue being added to the palette - hopefully sepang blue... I have seen Blue Mica in the flesh and whilst it is expensive (Audi Exclusive) it looks unbelievable - that too had Black Styling Pack...

Quick question. If you couldn't have Estoril blue as it is now what colour would you all go for??? I have gone for Glacier White but then Monsoon Grey looks stunning also

Just a quick update
Decided on getting the Estoril Blue with Black styling and with S-tronic
Went out for my first test drive in a S-Tronic yesterday….wow…so much continuous power, it will be like having a new toy..such fun.
There was no way i could choose manual over this !!

Anyway car will be at my dealers hopeful before the end of April. Managed to get 7% discount of the list price of around 36k. Got it for £33650, so fairly pleased.
Think i am also just as excited at the prospect of having a decent B&O stereo in the car, my current standard stereo in my TT is useless !!
 
How did this pan out for you. I've got the same dilemma with getting a new S3 Navarra blue BE.
Can't quite picture the black and blue together?
 
Sorry to say that I only kept the car for 16 months and have since moved onto a Mk3 TTS.
I found the dark blue and black a bit underwhelming if I am to be honest.
Think black pack looks great on lighter blues such as Sepang or Aura blue.

My TTS is Sepang blue with chrome, but I might de chrome it one day!

Thanks for that, it seems to be most people's opinion. I've changed my order to metallic black as I'm sure all black with BE will look great
