I've only gone and ruined an alloy pulling out of a small junction too close to the kerb :-( merry christmas to me arrggh! So just annoying when the car is so new and spotless - anyone got any idea of costs to repair a 19 rim off a facelift saloon? It's scratched most of the way around the rim

Depends on how deep the kerbing is I guess. I've heard that the 19s can only be skimmed once or twice before they look utterly different to how there were factory fresh.

Never kerbed a wheel in my A4, hoping for the same in my S3, knowing my luck it'll be new wheel time if I kerb it.

Try and find a Mobile wheel repair company that have been recommended.

I've got a ****** alloy thanks to my wife, car less than two months old!

£125 for Edinburgh Audi to fix by sending it away, he said it doesn't matter how many times repaired as they sand down and repair?

I also did a quote online with the wheel specialist which says £102.

Unsure what is the best option but the wife is paying.

Well, he's wrong. You keep sanding away at the style of the 19" wheel and the "brushed" or "diamond cut" section of the wheel is going to get larger and larger.

Whilst they "can" keep doing that, it won't match the other wheels on the car at that point.
