VCDS Coding Help for Steering Wheel 8P to 8J

I have just changed my steering wheel on my A3 8P 2010 Sportback to a flat bottom thicker multifuction steering wheel from a TT.

I have lost the functions on the steering wheel. I have VCDS. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have been on there and in all fairness I don't know where to look. To confirm I already had a flat bottom MFSW. I have simply changed it for a 8J version. All plugs are the same. So not sure why it doesnt work. On VCDS the error message says' Cannot communicate with steering wheel' Please help.

It depends on what the car has to start with if the controller can support a FBMFSW

Show us a pic of both, as they are the same wiring wise, so something is a miss.
