hi @keenu generally the build date is a reference to the assembly date which is normally on a Monday, and going back through peoples status history and dates you can see that the car normally moves out of the 'prep' and into the 'panel shop' on the Thursday beforehand. so in your case the car is likely to move into the panel shop on the 12th of Jan bud.

credit for that info goes to another user who actually looked into the status histories of other users of the fourm.

Mine got delivered this morning. So so happy with it. The noise is very addictive in sport :). Doesn't feel overly quick. But when you look at the speedo your doing stupid speeds very quickly. Very happy with my choice and well worth the wait :)

My build week is the same, 16th Jan.
But I'm still at 'Order received' stage and status 10. Sounds like yours could either be ahead of schedule, or mine's falling behind.

Give it a few days and it might change. Also mine is a S3 Saloon not sure if that makes a difference.

African Highway left emden this afternoon on route to grimsby, stuffed full of german motors...

I hope mine is on board - 3 hours to my update.....

Just checked my status. I'm now at 39! so my previous post was correct, my motor is onboard the African Highway arriving at around 11:30 this morning (Grimsby)!

Car was only at the port for 3 days!

A pre-Christmas pick up is looking possible!!.

That's awesome alongden! I was hoping African highway was going to sheerness with my car haha!!

I am hoping gran canaria car which is coming in from sheerness will load up and take mine maybe Monday! That's if it goes back to sheerness

My collection is Lincoln, so its only an hour away from grimsby. Dealer seems pretty proactive so hopefully he'll get it tracked down and delivered asap. Perhaps even next weekend? We shall see...

Seems a bit of a lottery with the ships pal. Although, as i say, mine was only at the port for 3 days. So i can only imagine they're not overly busy and will and clearing the cars quickly. Would certainly expect yours to be on the next sheerness bound ship!
 
That would be awesome, as soon as mine is in the country I'll be getting on to the dealer. I hope it is on the next sheerness one, I have missed 3 sheerness ones so far lol
 
Just having a look and nothing is scheduled to arrive at sheerness from Emden at all next week :(
 
Is that on the marine tracker @Pederson that you get this info? i need to check ships to Grimsby as that's where mine will end up...

Okay cheers mate I will have a look now, my car went status 23 this morning so I'm hoping a quick CQ and in transit on to emden for Tuesday morning... I can hope!

Mine is due to enter build the same week. Been stuck on status 10 since 25/09. Getting jealous now seeing all these status changes :( I don't know why orders that were placed the same time produce such different build weeks.

Think it depends on the dealer. Mine showed me some that they had booked in for production already. They basically then changed one of those bookings to my spec.

Nice one mate, looks like you're going to win the race. I've only went to 38 yesterday on the top status. Still 30 on the last dated update. Think you were on the Grimsby route then, I'll keep an eye on mine as I seem to always update behind you and hoping they're together but mine is just slow to update.

Haha who knows, I couldn't see any boats going from emden, but looks like I am on gran canaria car which is heading to sheerness, should dock tomorrow I think.

African highway was going to Grimsby went yesterday, so that is more than likely already there

Yours is updating with mine as that's what mine did - think Pederson is right, African Highway got into Grimsby yesterday so should be in Emden again early next week!

Ps my dealer emailed to say I'll have mine this month so you should too!!
 
Hmm mines going into QC tomorrow, what's the odds of making the Grimsby bound ship I wonder :whistle2: ...
 
The ships swing round pretty quick, having checked the schedule for gran canaria car it is due into sheerness at 6pm today. Going to speak with the dealer on Tuesday and see how quickly they can get it and I can go collect!
 
Just a quick one this is my status history it's showing it's in QC now but at the top it's got a status of 30. What does this mean? So the home screen says it in QC but the codes are showing it's left the factory...

I'd have to look back on the chat to see when mine transported to Emden, I think it was the monday or Tuesday, mine read the same as yours does now.
 
Yeah it's confusing as hell... a status 38 on Tuesday will be sweet!

Hopefully your car will be on the train up to Emden and get on African highway then Billy!! If it follows the same pattern as mine has over the last two weeks which so far it has it should be on a boat to the UK by this time next week!

Gran canaria car is due in to sheerness in 2 hours time :) hopefully they'll get them unloaded and checked in sharpish! :)

Hey billy,i know our cars are bout same time.Mines still in assembly.
So hopefully should go into quality control tomorrow.As long as they take there time looking over it and checking it,
will be happy for it to be on train by Thursday latest.
Then should be at docks by weeknd.
Then fingers crossed will be on boat before xmas or new year.

No update on mine today Pederson, still sat at status 39. Although, as African highway has now left Grimsby, so I'm hoping for an update tomorrow. Then it'll be on the phone to the dealer!!!

The process has been rapid for me so far, I just hope the uk car transporter companies aren't the weak link!

I believe the status updates over night and presume the cars need to maybe be customs checked on arrival and the such like, so might take a couple of days to change to status 40 I reckon, but fingers crossed like you say that the transporting to dealership doesn't slow us down!!
 
My build dates gone back to 27th February now How can it take 4 months to start building a car
 
Ordered mine September and it started building beginning of December

True, I hadn't reckoned on customs. That being said, I imagine they've got a pretty good system in place getting the cars through. I'll let you know my status in the morning. Great to hear yours found itself on a boat, felt a bit guilty when mine sailed off for grimsby.

Hahahaha yours made a quick getaway that is for sure, I was just a tad jealous!! Lol
I wass a bit surprised when mine had changed status this morning as I couldn't see the boat on the expected arrivals in sheerness the day before so thought I'd be waiting til this coming week!

By all accounts the dealers can speed things up a bit, so definitely put a bit of pressure on them I will be with mine haha

Like you say I defo think they'll have some kind of quick system in place, I am shocked how quick the boats turn around loading and unloading! They must carry loads of cars, so to see them going in and out of the ports so quickly is really impressive!!

Oh and I cannot wait either :)

It's good that we don't see them zooming down the ramp and handbrake turning them into position to speed things up :openmouth: lol
