Evening,

Apologies for jumping back on out of the blue - I'm mostly acquainted with the older 2.5TDi V6 engine, so have little to no experience with the newer common rail V6 TDi's

I have a question regarding the DPF pressure sensor G450 on a 2007 3.0TDi.
Can a sensor with a different part number be used? The car currently has a sensor with the part number of; 0 281 002 760
I have found a replacement sensor on ebay with the number; 0 281 006 005
It states it should be compatible with the 3.0TDi - is this the case?

I have reason to believe this sensor may be at fault due to having the flashing glowplug light on the dash and being unable to force an emergency regeneration, I have the following faults;

5188 - Diesel particulate filter (bank 1) restricted / clogged
P242f 00 [175] No signal / communication

5189 - Particulate trap bank 1; efficiency below threshold
P2002 00 [047] No or incorrect basic setting / adaptation

My first port of call is to try replacing this sensor and forcing a regeneration - I seem to remember a friend having a similar issue on a 2.0TDi A3.

Any advice appreciated - thanks.

Just a quick update - I ordered a replacement sensor with the same part number. £35 - worth a go, before removing the DPF entirely.

Just another quick question - Will inoperable radiator fans prevent a DPF regeneration from being carried out?

The DPF is registering 52% - so unsure as to why a regeneration fails.
I carried out a scan of the other modules and have found both radiator fans do not work.

Swapped over the sensor yesterday - the same fault codes persist. Looks like its a DPF removal this weekend.
