ERROR TIME!!! Can anyone please shed some light on these ones?
I get a negative deviation code nowadays - i put this toward a boost leak as i top at at 1 bar when i should be at around 1.5 bar (my fuel consumption has also gone to shizen)
Also would these codes go hand in hand?
00812 - Brake Pressure Release Solenoid (F84)
Possible Causes
and ......
01314 - Engine Control Module (this is in the AWD module)
01314 - Engine Control Module: No Communications

I have got a new brake light switch so it shouldn't be that... Haldex... well i hope it's not offline! It's a blue one!

Possible Causes
- CAN-Databus Wiring/Connectors from/to Engine Control Module faulty
- Fault(s) stored in Engine Control Module
- Engine Control Module recently flashed or re-mapped
- Check CAN-Databus Wiring/Connectors from/to Engine Control Module
- Check Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
- Usually Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) 125+ show the current Communication Status

First up finally installing my mic for handsfree use of the HU. Hacked away at the dash and added a grommet where it now lives.
Previous photos have shown Nogz got new shoes. The pattern is Jap spec 5x114.3 so got some custom adaptors made. They are mint and i highly recommend this guy (for anyone reading this in Aus). Rears are just a tad wider than the stock ones Running staggered 8" front and 9" back.
I've found that options in this fitment are much nicer than 5x100 - more race/lightweight rims available.
And some not so little things...
AGU head that i want to port out and polish to help the new setup breathe a little better + turbo (ball bearing) rebuild kit
Going to be switching to T25 setup
...and to be shown off in all it's glory thanks to the top mount. I'm going to port the waste gate before putting things together and need to get rotating assembly balanced then building a GTX spec turbo.

Any reason you didn't put it in the original position mate?
I stuck mine in the overhead light fitting,guessing maybe with your mods you have a louder engine/exhaust note.

I never had one previous to this.
It was one of those that can clip onto the visor but i thought i would want it smack bang in front of my mouth so I've integrated it there
No complaints yet of people not being able to hear me and text by talking is pretty accurate which is good!

There's a place in the central overhead interior light fitting where an original would be placed mate,that's where I put mine but I expect your position would give better 'pickup',just wanted mine hidden.

hmmmm... do people say they can hear you ok with it up in the roof like that? How are voice commands handled?

All through my life,in general,I've struggled for people to hear me
but yeah,the audio seems fine for people on the other end.As for voice commands,my phone is basic and has never understood them unfortunately.It's no fun being a Dalek!
- couple more bits to add to the parts list - v-band hot-side adaptor, braided oil / coolant lines, sanding wheels for porting
- swapping out the ball bearing plastic cages for bronze ones. Apparently used for race applications - i'm using it for longevity
- this holds the BB cartridge in place and the little hole is the oil feed
- cart. pressed in and placing compressor side oil seal
- o-ring to seal off BB stuff from compressor wheel and loc-tite for the 3 little 2mm Allen bolts that keep the plate in place
- another oil seal. this one for the turbine side
- turbine heat shield
- placing the turbine/shaft in its new home
- turbine pressed in
that's all i got up to for now

May plug styles are UE version, so they are just on my S3, I'll check and then I'll tell you about as confirmation.

Did you adopted LED lights as all other external/internal lights of your S3 aswell?

i put LED's in my foglight because when i picked up my car they were dead. the small parker light in the main headlight is also LED. my reverse light is LED too because again - i needed to replace them
otherwise rest of the lights are standard bulbs.
Probably not until the new year. Lots of porting work needs to be done before fitting everything.
So i noticed a coolant leak just over a week ago. Looked up to see that it was more than likely coming from the water pump. So a bit of maintenance needed to be done. Along with this some other things were revealed!
Leaky charge pipe - fixed
#1 spark plug looking good (i think?)
Once the lower timing belt cover was off you can really see the extent of the leak!!!
And the replacement setup - semi manual tensioner (getting rid of the hydraulic setup which is more prone to failure than this setup)

lining up marks and making small adjustments so belt goes on correctly
Checking the tensioner/roller is correct. all you need to do is line up the notches - so simple!
Swapping the plastic bumper lugs for these inserts
