Emissions recall

Hello everyone,

My A4 is going in for the 189 emissions recall along with air con and earth cable replacement recalls.

Has anyone noticed any difference in car after the 189 recall or is it just a simple update? Also has anyone got any freebies through this (service/cleaning products etc).

2012 ,Audi A4 S-Line, Black Edition (143)
 
ye had mine done emissions and air con a4 177 black edition not noticed any difference got freebie bag also you can get courtesy car if you tell them you. need one

After the update my car wont stay and cruise in 7th as long as it used to it now drops down to 6th much more frequently, very annoying, or could be something else!!
 
I just got a letter from Audi regarding the emissions. I phoned them and they are coming out to do it at my home plus my sons V W golf on the same day and all free of charge
 
Does this mean after the upgrade, does this mean we will pay higher Road tax from now on?
 
If you read the official information you'll find nothing will change.
 
is the air con recall count if its a 61 plate pre facelift ? as my AC has stopped ?
 
Update on the 23Q7 software update, had mine done on Friday morning all but 10 mins with no faults and the car drives the same has before, no difference. The guy he could not do my sons 16 TDI golf has Vag are not sure how they intend to fix the problem on that engine. But they can sort the 2 Lt.

Just booked our 61 plate 168bhp manual in for the end of the month.

Any negative feedback from anyone (with a similar model)?

Had the emissions done at Lincoln, gave me a brand new A5 Quattro as a courtesy car, did a full health check, wash and Hoover, and gave me a large Audi cleaning kit, plenty of products in, car felt the same as it did before so no complaints about it
 
interesting read. i've not had my car long but thought it would be too old to be affected by this. anyway it was remapped yesterday with a stage 1 map as well as a couple of other extra bits at the same time. i checked this morning on Audi's site and apparently it is due the recall. i won;t be taking them up on their offer obviously!
