What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Looks well fella, makes me feel bad I didn't wash Alfie today haha.

Loving the DTM alloys also, looked at a few sets but people want stupid money for them.

Fitted these 2 additions today, 5the cars a SE so fitted the Sline valance today.

if I cant find the right centre cap for my rials i'm going back to the ronals (dtm's) sooner than later.

still running the rials, which I do really like but the centre caps are total rubbish and I just cant source any decent 65mm replacement ones oem or third party, well ones that are worth fitting that is.
strange really as the rials are a top quality german rim with all the right ratings and approvals yet come with mickey mouse plastic centre caps with stick on decals, completely lets the rims down now, so if no caps can be sourced then I back onto the original ronals.

you can see the poor excuse of a centre cap, just not in keeping with the rims at all.

Just a guess rob but i know the a5s have an odd size hub fitment compared to ours, Might be worth seeing what size a5 centre caps are.

Fitted the Red Gecko to the dash vent

Still waiting on my Q5 rear wiper to arrive

I too am contemplating on doing the fog grills in honeycomb but not the main grill as I kinda like the standard one, though not too sure how it's going look like with 2 different styles of grills???

Had my windows tinted over the weekend! Not too dark. I want to de chrome round the doors and get my wind deflectors fitted

you need to do the mesh fog mod and fit the rs4 grill really chap, go on you know it makes sense, and you could have got a grill yesterday at a much reduced price.

I like my S Line "Special Edition" grill but only want do the fog light as it looks kind of empty.
Unless of course you want buy me one for my birthday then it'll be rude for me to refuse Rob!!!

yes I know what you mean on the grill front but I gave into changing mine and don't regret at all, it just looks a more sutle grill compared to the s-line one, which , reminds me of an angry mouth glaring outwards, looks a bit harsh compared to the mesh rs item, I suppose its all down to personal choice again....

Flipping heck mate, £290 for a grill! Surely that includes shares in Audi too??
I think I'll stick with mine as I really do like mine anyway as for the fog surround I'll probably give it a go with the mesh and if I don't like it then hey it's only £20. Which grill one did you buy for you fogs?

and that was cheap, still around the £450-500 mark now new from dealers, less 2nd hand.
anyway, best plan is to stick with what you like as that's what makes every A4 different.

Very nice indeed. I notice yours already came with the splitter on?
Where did you get the your mesh from matey?

the splitter was the first mod I carried out, and was about 3 months after I got it, so prob why its in that first pic.....its been evolving from then really.
I have a nice set of S4 door blades in the garage ready to go on at somepoint, just hav'nt got round to it yet...

ordered my egr delete kit and the anti shudder valve is going too, remap maybe next week so if anyone looking for a dtuk tuning box it'll be available soon, its been on my car for 2 + years and had no bother with it, only getting rid as i want the egr gone.

How are you managing to get rid of the shudder valve? Is it not needed

it can be mapped out along with the egr, so instead of spending loads of coin on a new asv its going, i can live with a bit of shudder when i turn the engine off. some people say it could save the engine if take off/runaway occurs (unless you know how to stop it if it dose occur) but my mechanic and mapper say may as well get shot of it and my delete kit i've bought dose both at once so...

we'll have to wait and see the results but i've read loads on the removal of the asv and i'm happy the car will be sound without it. plenty of other people have done it with no problems so watch this space...

dare I ask, fleabay or private sale.

found on land of the bay but turns out a member on here - jase0851.

Couldn't let them get away so harassed him, 250 round trip but so so worth it, great conversation aswel and glad he was from the forum as you can imagine my shock at the price they were and initial apprehension.

All cleaned and ready for fitting. I will be sealing the leather when they are in as I am impatient.

The splitter.... Please can someone advise me what size self tapping screws should I be buying and how many?
Thanks

again chap , its a personal choice thing, no set method to use just whatever works best for you, there are a few vids online aswell.
I just picked up a couple of blister packs of black self tappers nothing too thick or long either , but you'll need a few long ones for the middle section, largish heads are a better plan as more secure than small ones , other than that just fix it the way that suits you, like many things modding wise , what works for one may not be as good for another etc.

some chaps have used heavy duty stanless steel rivets aswell, which is ultra secure but when it on , it's on , at least with self tapppers you can remove it in a flash.

I used the largest self rappers I could get on the splitter - remember to cut the middle tabs clip part off

Seats done today - all straight fit and no fault codes even with the fronts not having the pressure plate.

All I had to do was change the 10A fuse for the lumber support for a 30A and bolt it all up.

Very happy

the black plug is the pressure plate.

Recaro plugs, yellow - airbags. Red - power. Green - heat. As you can see no black, so green is left unplugged and nothing plugged into the black connector
